[Rumour] Bo Horvat Trade/Contract Talks

Whatever the "best offer" for Horvat is.

It means this team is done for the year.  It also suggests that they knew which is why we saw Miller at centre yesterday during practice.

It doesn't matter what they suggest or do.  They do not have a centre to take Horvats draws, d-zone starts or replicate his scoring.

The moment he is gone, we go from losing a few to losing the majority.

That would mean the most common sense thing to do afterwards is also cash in on Schenn and Kuzmenko.

I would also go even further to suggest that trading Boeser for a moderate return by taking back a similar shorter term contract on a non productive player is also a smart move.  If Myers can also be moved for a moderate return by taking back a shorter term comparable contract of the same type of non productive player they do it.

The writing is on the wall for this team once Horvat is gone and management can accept that they can weaponize the cap space they can garner by smart trades and short term pain to retool around Hughes/Pettersson/Demko and Podkolzin over the next 2-3 seasons or they can continue doing the same thing the organization has done for a decade and hope for different results.

This is where it gets interesting.

Garbage franchise spinning the garbage decision wheel some more I see. Why are we trying to lock into more top dollar retirement deals for players with minimal skill sets lmfao. Management KILLS us every time they having something to do with keeping or moving existing talent. Dickinson deal = horrible. Miller's signing = horrible. Boesers contract = horrible. Now they are trying to 8x8 Bo? Holy I need a vacation

Banners will be in the sky soon if they don't smarten up with these trash decisions:P

I wish we could just look in the damn mirror like all the teams at our level and realize what we are. Kent Hughes already said they are sellers regardless what their record is. Ducks knew better than to sign two pending UFAs and making a playoff push last year.

Would be neat to make even a single logical move for once

How are we going to replace this? The gap is noticeably large.

We're not, not likely this season. Losing Horvat devastates this team's ability to compete and likely leads to more losses.

He's much more than his offense, always has been. He plays a lot of roles, he's our primary faceoff guy and that impacts our possession game in a big way. Faceoffs aren't small by any means.

A Horvat trade likely sets the tone for our being sellers. They should have signed him first. And traded Miller.

Brutal. Oh well management made its bed by prioritizing Miller. Gonna have to eat this one when it bites them in the behind and Millers contract becomes more if a liability than it already is.

90% of CDC wanted Bo traded and Miller re-signed. Here we are with what seems to become the outcome.

Now however, 90% of CDC want Bo re-signed and Miller traded.

We all are about as consistent as the Canucks performances have been this year :D

Bo has the right to be pissed if they gave Miller the moon and left nothing for there CAPTAIN

Bo is a player this team needs

we will be looking for a player just like him for years

It is  kinda a punch in the face
