If you couldnt see that this past season then you shouldn't be discussing hockey.

That’s partly chemistry too, though right?

Cal it what you want. A lot of people who watch hockey call that “puck possession” and is considered extremely valuable. regardless of your pov, Garland controlling the puck equates to less time that that puck is in our defensive zone while also creating opportunities in the O zone. Have you ever thought that maybe that’s also potentially what coaches want…a player to manipulate the play and control it in the opposite end, even if it doesn’t always factor into scoring a goal. don’t discount how valuable puck possession is, let alone players who are more than capable of establishing it.

Yeah I find this as well but you described it better than I usually do. He's super skilled and even fun to watch but for all his dipsy doodling it often ends with a crazy angle shot on net or a spinning shot pass just behind the net or across the crease to no one. He gets a decent amount of points though so he must be doing something right.

Garland shows more skill and can handle and skate with the puck. We saw boeser skate with the puck and generate a scoring chance maybe at most 3 times all year. For a 'skill guy' he doesnt have much skill aside fron hanging out in the slot waiting for the perfect pass. lol it doesn't even matter if boeser goes out and score 30 40 50 goals. your hate for boeser is well known here. in your mind Boeser is probably even worse than Loui. Even petan and everyone else in the AHL is better than Boeser we get it.
Quint
Can’t say I’ve noticed before, but Pearl Jam’s front man sure does seem to hate Boeser. Personally I think Boeser is a goal scorer, and every team that is successful needs one.

MaxVerstappen33
We stole him. Stole him in term and AAv. Brock will be able to get another big payday in just 3 years. It is an unconventional deal. No complaining about this contract. Ever. If he has a drought , you can't give him the business about his contract. Some ppl will find this hard to get used to. This contract is a good average of his seasons. Brock last year was worth under 5, the Brock the year before was worth well over

Definitely not useless spins. They create a lot of space down low. Went to our game against Ottawa, he was by far the most noticeable player offensively. Every spin messed with the defense and created opportunity and space I like Boeser better and think he’s a better fit with us but Garland is a hell of a player

Xanlet
Oh look, a 35 goal scorer, age 25 just signed for 4 years at $5.5m per in LA. Imagine that! Almost like other teams can sign actual 30+ goal scorers way cheaper than Van seems to be able to for potential 30 goal scorers!

Kempe had a breakout year. 78gp 35g 19a 54pts All the previous years were far below that. When he made the roster full time he has 16g and 37pts. The rest of the years were 28pts, 32pts, and 29pts. Boeser has been a near consistent 20g 50pt player since joining the Canucks. Context matters. 1

Context matters. You prove my point. Kempe has shown steady progress each year including 35 goals in a contract year and gets less than Boeser who has shown steady regression from a peak lower than Kempe's breakout year. Canucks pay for a hope that Boeser will reach new highs, Kings pay for much less than he just showed in the most recent year.
