What are your unpopular Canuck opinions?

Stealing this from Reddit. We're into the dog days of summer and the hockey world has slowed down quite a bit so here's something to ponder. I know a lot of us have opinions and views that don't seem to jive with a lot of the fanbase, so let's hear em. And no, I'm not trying to make this into a Miller thread for once, but go off.. 

 

Debate your heart out but let's try not to make things too personal yeah?

Roberto Luongo should have his number up in the rafters.  Share the banner with Kirk MacLean, I don't care - his name belongs up there with his number.

 

Reason: Capt'n "We Choked" had his number retired and he couldn't even get us to the dance; RL1 got us to the dance and held (holds still?) most of our franchise goaltending records.

Gino Odjick was over-rated as a player (basically just a goon), and he's a legend in VAN because he was Bure's BFF

The amateur scouting department needs to have a scout or two specifically for RSD. We don’t draft enough and it’s through the draft to get value out of this highly coveted position. Just look at Nashville. The best RSD Canucks have ever drafted was Kevin Bieska. We begin to fix this or we continue to pay through the nose from trades or free agency.

He's loved in Vancouver because he gave the team a legitimate enforcer when one was badly needed. Every Smurf on the bench (Skriko, Bradley) grew an inch taller when Gino arrived. Plus he scored 47 goals in a Canucks uniform.

 

P.S. You better hope Deb doesn't see this.

I was roasted for this one back when I made the statement, but I still stand by it and have added two more names to it.

 

Bure had a very good rookie season, but Boeser, Hughes, and Pettersson all had better ones.

Cam Neely wasn't the only REALLY bad trade the Canucks made, you know, traded before they were given a real chance.

Rick Vaive was traded to the Leafs before he had  a chance to shine. ( 5th overall pick he was )
