I like it (though the pending RFA status would be a bit of a gamble in case he doesn't heat up in the next little while). Then again, if we're bottoming out I hope we trade some of Boeser/ Garland, then bring up Hoglander and Kravtsov, play them in the middle 6 with Mikheyev and Podkolzin and restock the wings, then somehow find a fix for the centers (Raty?). If you think it is, you have no concept of how to properly evaluate assets. A future 3rd + 7th is worth less than a 2nd. A past 3rd like Lockwood does not retain full value simply for being drafted in the 3rd round previously. Benning is brought up because he would typically pay 2nds for these types of players (Vey, Baertschi) while we just got a project player with higher upside than them for less.
