Hughes and Petey might've wanted out if the team was torn down to just kids up front and the awful group on the back end (Demko helps with the defense but alone he's not enough when Tank Commanders Myers and OEL are here).  Hronek fits the timeline of making this rock bottom before starting to be good again (with him and Hughes hopefully stabilizing the blueline, plus the influx of kids and hopefully a new C in place of Miller) to revamp the group behind 40 and 43.

There is the possibility he's the new Nate Schmidt but I'll choose to be a bit more positive and see him as a contributor to future success... until proven otherwise.

Nate Schmidt cost us only a 3rd round pick.  We received a 3rd round pick from the Laffs for Luke Schenn.  Not really a comparable imho.  And we essentially recovered that pick when we dealt Schmidt later.

Pick value aside, at the time of the trade the expectation was for him to move to the right side and possibly become Hughes' partner.  He was an all-rounder when he was in WSH and VGK (topped off at around 35 points, which is slightly higher at this point than Hronek) and Filip was also that with DET this season (he took over as the #1 RHD ahead of Seider).  My point is hopefully he doesn't relapse statistically, as I do agree that it cost a lot more to get him than Schmidt, whereas we've paid through the nose to get Hronek after a possible anomaly of a season.

I think if the effort was there but the results weren't, it would be a slightly different story. It seems like this team has no heart at the moment.

I once had 2 clearly white male artists trying to sell Salish art to me at my place of work. My boss at the time liked it, wanted to buy it. Not sure how much goes to taxes, agents etc. But it looks like career wise he made around $17 million. 

Even if he got to keep 1/2. That's enough to keep a decent standard of living and a house. 

Wonder if he finished his degree from Minnesota-Duluth? Forgot he played one year in Switzerland. 

250+ points in about 550 NHL games.  Not that bad for a fairly late 2nd round pick; especially after that fractured back injury during the peak of his career.

Named my son after the player fans love to hate, so it was nice to not have to explain why people are booing. Ultimately its the online crowd that can use their medium to speak louder than the plethora of fans who still speak in person. 

He's still a jerk. But at least he's back to being OUR jerk.

We's getting phased into the league it's a process but I bet in 5 years time he'll be a top 10 player in the NHL

My wife just got over a 6 week run of suffering from this. I would not wish it on anyone. 

V, she was sleepless and acting like she was like a speed freak? Did they give her Xanax or something similar? Sorry if I'm being too direct.

Yeah she accidentally took a double dose of her meds for 5 days and had flu like symptoms (which is why she didn’t know). She then had a wild ride of sleeplessness, sleeping all the time, terrible headaches, the gamut.
