timberz21
Per Pierre Lebrun http://www.tsn.ca/canucks-sign-horvat-to-six-year-33-million-contract-1.850894 Quote The Vancouver Canucks have reached a six-year contract with restricted free agent Bo Horvat, according to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun. LeBrun reports the deal is worth a total of $33 million, carrying an annual cap hit of $5.5 million through the 2021-22 season. Horvat, who is coming off a career year with 20 goals and 32 assists in his third season with the Canucks. ForsbergTheGreat
Good on JB getting this done, locking him up long term and not paying over the moon. In years 3-6 Bo this contract of going to be a massive steal

R3aL
Think it should have been a little less cause he isn't proven so hopefully he takes a step and this becomes a value deal happy its done* though and not any higher
Fateless
This is so much better than that stupid bridge deal the talking heads were going on about late last week.
Provost
At the start I said $5.3 but that JB seems to have a penchant for overpaying so it could end up being $5.5 At that cap hit I would have preferred a max deal, but no one is going to get their shirts in a knot about the contract. He just has to stay at a high end 2nd line player to make it fair.
Alexandre
Nice deal all around 6 years for 5.5 mil/year ave. I was expecting closer to 6 per because of Draisaitl's contract.
MeanSeanBean
Go Bo! Glad he stays our boy for the next 6 years! Would have loved to see 5.3 though.. heh Good for our future captain!
Fateless
Just now, R3aL said: Think it should have been a little less cause he isn't proven so hopefully he takes a step and this becomes a value deal happy its fine though and not any higher Less? He was our leading scorer last year as a 22 year old and we just bought a couple years of free agency. This is contract is already good value. Katobaron
WOW! Great job Benning and Co! If he keeps improving at the same pace he has been this will be a steal.
Solinar
I thought it would be 5.25 over 6, but I'm okay with 5.5. Good to have him here, and hopefully he makes this deal look like a steal, and not like Sutter's.

coastal.view
i think a bit high as well but the draisail contract seems to have inflated all other young player signings so it may be good value depending on what happens in the next year or 2 with these kinds of contracts

48MPHSlapShot
Assuming those numbers are correct, that contract is going to look like an absolute steal in a couple years. Glad we have him locked up. He really is the present and future of the Canucks. Go Bo!
