Thankfully I make enough money on my own that I can buy what I want and his opinion doesn't matter  He was less than thrilled with all of my game worn jersey purchases. Whatever!

Ahh, I see. At least you can root for another deep run for the Sharks in this year's playoff. Btw, how did you feel when they lost in the finals last year?

I am not actually a Sharks fan although I live relatively nearby so I was not brokenhearted. I did feel bad for all my Shark fan friends. And I was super salty I couldn't manage to get tickets for myself. 

I do not wish the Sharks ill will unless they are playing the Canucks. Otherwise I'm indifferent.

I'd watch a game between the all stars and Cup champs. I don't care for the three on three, and hate the lack of effort folks put in (though I can hardly blame them). I wish there was some sort of young stars/rookie showcase component- that would actually get me excited. I typically enjoy the skills competitions.

If I remember correctly, there was no lack of effort last year

Seemed to me like all the teams were just goofing off in the first two game (maybe the PAC not so much for Scott), and only really turned it up for the last game. The goalies sat back for sure (once again, I don't blame them). 

I think having a young stars/rookie showcase would be great because the effort would really be there from young guys still trying to make names for themselves.

It's just surreal. The student and I were not close or anything, I just recognized him because he looks really similar to someone else I know. I am curious to see how things play out. I don't know him well enough to question his guilt or innocence either way.

 The Comets alternate jerseys are gorgeous. I want one. I own so many jerseys already though. I don't think he'll want two, but maybe I'll get him a jersey for Danny and a name/number shirt for Marky...no way I'd choose Luongo- he can't stand him!

See, I think VC does great work (also shout out to the sig lord Twilight Sparkle) but I am thinking more of the concept as opposed to the execution.

No matter how many times I see it, PB's sig makes me laugh out loud. It's hilarious. That's a great premise for a sig.

@Zhukini It said per year.  It did seem absurdly low to me. I was more remarking on how the price, along with the exchange rate, was so low compared to the ever increasing cost of public education in the US. I will probably never go back to school, but it was just interesting to look at.

I'm kinda torn on Granny to Vegas. On one hand I'd be devastated because he's now my favorite 'Nuck (really didn't see that coming) and he's on my favorite team. But him getting scooped up by Vegas would mean he's way closer and i could seem him live more often!

Did you see that US students are applying to Canadian universities at record numbers this year?

@SabreFan1 I did not. Why's that, to escape Trump? I have thought of applying to graduate school in Canada. There are a couple programs that look interesting. 

The top 2 reasons listed when asked were Trump and cost. 

The average Canadian University caught up to the average US University in terms of quality a long time ago.  The only advantage that the US has in higher education anymore is the Ivy League schools.  Those are a no-go for 99% of the population anyways due to the stringent acceptance rules and the overwhelming cost of attendance.

Yuck. If only border trades were that easy between our countries though. Guess I have to marry an American babe (#1) , or simply apply for an H-1B (meh). 

Yeah, I really should've held out for a Canadian guy. Oh well! I'll just have to settle for a visit instead. 

I'm partly kidding around, life is full of enough limitations without restricting ourselves to only being with a person from one specific country.

Could be sold out. They were limited release for charity. If so, they should have released more.

@LordCanuck I ordered one through their online mail order form as soon as they posted that the hats were available last Thursday. I wouldn't be surprised if they were sold out already, tbh.
