Literally LITERALLY a series of comments about important it is to have people on there with different opinions to keep others honest and critique while offering a different point of view.  A place where you can be open minded and call out others for boorish opinions and for acting like petulant know it alls.

But you got removed for calling out a different mod...by a guy who regularly suggests physically harming or murdering other hockey players on different teams and committing genocide against citizens of a nation in conflict because he is on the other side; for not acting like an adult?

Uhh no he doesn't. He has been one of the most consistent players this season. 

I didn't expect much from Vanek, but he has exceeded my expectations.

We need speed on the back end but the UFA class looks pretty abysmal for that.

I mean we got Jimmy R's golden egg, Ryan Reeves available as a UFA should Motte leave via trade/FA.

My thoughts on the Trade deadline:
Motte goes for a Conditional 3rd that upgrades to a 2nd. Maybe more if we can do a sign and trade.
Boeser goes for picks/roster player and a prospect
Miller goes for boat load. Picks, a top 4 RHD and a top prospect
If Garland goes for it be for a good haul too. Picks or a top prospect with a roster player.

Having a ton of trade capital is important for teams to take on bad contracts. Dumping Poolman will cost us at least a few draft picks. Seems like a bad year to dump Myers, so I would keep him since he has been doing quite well with OEL on that shutdown role.

If we're going to try and stay competitive, then dead cap will kill us, but if we're fully rebuilding and acquire some picks and bad contracts to bomb, then why not?

Because over a long term it handicaps the franchise too much.  I'm fine with a bad contract that can eventually moved, but any GM who either retains salary or uses a buyout needs to be fired on the spot.

I'd try and move him first.  Retaining $2 million would be fine if JR decides to do a proper rebuild, as the dead cap would be off the books in 4 years once we hopefully are a playoff team again.  At $5 million perhaps he has positive value and we can get a pick or prospect for him.  We would need to convince him that we are rebuilding and that he should move on to a cup contender.  Perhaps he doesn't want to be here either and live through another rebuild like Arizona.  Who knows.

He's got no cap space to go the free agent route that much and it also makes trades extremely difficult.....so it's not like he has alot of options available.

Not doing anything might be the best move he can make.  Let's see what the drafted guys can do & fill in the rest of the positions with cheap UFA's.

What this club doesn't need is another franchise killing Loui E type of contract.

not an expert, just a long time owner. All our dogs have loved oat based things, usually treats we make them.

By no means an expert, but I give my dog frozen yogurt with fruit in a kong regularly. Gives her something to focus on and work at and I have always been under the impression it's good for her.

Recently in the market too!  Drum'd my whole life... @CoquitlamDave right on.  For me, because I live in a condo space and noise is a premium.  Do you know of any modular e kits?  I'd like to get a snare, hi hat, pad for double bass kicks.  I'll add toms/other symbals down the road.

Almost bought a strike pro kit but wussed out at the last second.  Problem with the smaller sets is the feel of the set.  It would also suck buying a $1k and then wanting to upgrade later.  But then again it would suck spending $2k-3k and not playing them. 

Sorry I am not a drummer..... yet.
