JiffyPB
Only want him back if it's 2 years max.
Dogbyte
This can't be the lineup next season. Either gillis fixes his mess or he's gone imo Gillis' reluctance to move NTC's, over-rewarding loyalty, and refusal to do anything that makes complete sense kind of handcuffs us. I would hope so too but IMO it will be another band-aid, a smoke show of words for the followers, and business as usual.
-AJ-
Depends on our prospects' progress. If one or two of them are ready, I say we let Santo go so there's room for them,
Rypien37
Why would we not re-sign a 40-50 point player that we didn't have to give up anything for? Because of the injury I doubt he will cost any more then 1-1.25 million a year.
oldnews
Re-sign him. No brainer. Incredible fitness commitment will get him back to form. 2 x 1.35 / 2.7 million. Can't have too many centers, particularly versatile ones who can anchor a line and win draws, or be an effective winger, and move up and down the lineup. xereau
There are 29 other teams that saw what Santorelli did this year. Do not be surprised to see him elsewhere.
Butters Stoch
I'd like to keep him just in case of injuries, we know he's capable of filling in on the top six if we need.
PhillipBlunt
Santorelli is a keeper. Playing here has ignited something in him that wasn't there in Florida and Winnipeg. The Canucks would be remiss to let him go.
hsedin33
absolutely. always good to have depth at center.
sting
Santorelli is our version of Bolland, just played more games before the injury. Santo makes Hansen expendable and is more versatile than Hansen because he can play C or W. Santo should be re-signed to play wing or C on our 3rd line. We can probably sign him for cheaper considering his injury and that he's from Vancouver. this.
JeremyCuddles
I'd be perfectly fine with a Higgins' type contract for Santo. We throw spark plug around here a lot, no player ignites this lineup more then him. Look at our record without him so far, of course we've lost others but the overall energy is in the toilet. Mr.53
I am a big advocate of Santorelli. If anyone earned a contract extension, or the right to stay here and play for this organization, it is santorelli. In my honest opinion, he has been a top 5 player for us this year. To me he's like a mini Kesler. He does everything for the team that we ask of him and he does it well. He also provides the heart and soul for this team much like Kesler. Letting Santo go would be a big mistake. (of course, unless he demands a ridiculous contract.) I honestly think that this fan base doesn't appreciate Santo enough. Dude was signed to play in utica or maybe get a few minutes. If he was able to play 3c, he would have already been a steal. Instead what did he do? He came in and outperformed every one of our forwards minus Kes and the Sedins (in my opinion.) It would be a crime not to offer him a longer contact in his hometown. Look at how we have done without him. He is much more valuable to this team than people give him credit for. I hope I haven't seen the last of him in penis Canucks uniform. BRING SANTO BACK MG. BRING HIM BACK
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
sign him to a 2 year bridge deal. See if the early season success was fluke or not.
xereau
3rd year money and 3rd line minutes, at best. He disappears too often for too long, to be considered a 2nd liner.
Tiger Gino Brash Ryp
I'd be ok with a 1 year 1 million. Or 2 year 550-750k per. Would be a good 13th forward.
tas
sign him to a 2 year bridge deal. See if the early season success was fluke or not. that would be impossible, because he's not coming off an entry level contract.
kdub69
Keeper for sure he was the heart of the canucks this year, could play on all lines and was 3rd on the canucks in scoring before his injury i think you guys all forget that, anyway he wants to stay and im sure he will stay for a discount home town boy and plays with heart, not like the rest of the canucks this year. CanucksSayEh
Trade Hansen to a Eastern contender for their 1st, one of em should be happy to pay that. Sign Santa for a couple years.
