He is not motivated enough to be better it appears he does not have the drive as the above players or any Tzachuk (even younger ones) that is when we trade him- Trade high for once in the Canucks history on a player, rather than always buying high with guys having a career year and never attaining that again Great accurate post! Nothing to add to this. AMEN !

Jake hasn't even yet reached the heights of Kreider's rookie season. That said, I'm a proponent of continuing patience with Jake. While he's sometimes frustrating, he's still had notable improvements in every offensive category this year. Let's celebrate that and hope the trend continues for next year.
J.I.A.H.N
Just a question...……….. What would Virtanen and Hutton bring in the form a young 2nd line RWer for Horvat's line?

Popular Post RWMc1
Trading a 22 year old Virtanen, while still on an upward trajectory, would be a massive mistake. Hopefully Benning and Aquilini don't fall for all the whining. Also, did toronto media say that the make-beliefs are interested in Jake? That's usually a precursor to this level of whining and belittling of one of our players. Not saying they expressed an interest in Jake but, if toronto's management expresses interest in another teams players, it's tampering. Yet if their media says they heard rumblings etc. it's perfectly okay. 1

Tre Mac
JV going to play LW with EP40 and BB6 tonight.... Please work. What a great opportunity for Virtanen and that could be a great line in the future, I hope it works. 1

I get changing it up if it doesn't work but how can you tell after 3 shifts. I think the answer is more mullets.

As for Green I hope Patterson's last question to Green is 'Any chance you grow back a mullet in the offseason?'

How you gonna know what Jake's got until you let him free? Overcoaching won't help him any, he's not built that way. But, perhaps Jim already decided. I think he also missed the net. He doesn't have good awareness or vision. And he rarely makes a nice pass. Frustrating player.
