SilentSam
For what it’s worth, I think this article is written by the writer/blogger who felt he was snubbed by Tryamkin a few weeks ago.. apparently Nik sent him an e mail. Sorry if this has already been posted. http://dailyhive.com/vancouver/nikita-tryamkin-return-canucks
Deathbyoompa
It would be awesome if Tryamkin retuned to the fold. In his last season at various times he showed just how big a game changer he can be. Unfortunately like many have pointed out before his consistency was lacking. I just hope the khl is difficult enough for Tryamkin to continue to develope properly. I think if we buy it out the cost goes against our Cap? One of the smart posters can update.

The player must pay the buyout. Standard rate is 2/3 of the contract. I believe some contracts contain specific buyout clauses where the number can be negotiated down (possibly even to zero with a full “out clause”), but KHL contracts are usually not made public and the details are a bit mysterious. With Tryamkin, I’d assume he has the standard 2/3 buyout, which he’d need to pay out of his own pocket. The only way the Canucks could help him out would be if they signed him to a generous contract, effectively paying his buyout by topping up his salary on his new deal. But Nik would still need to scrape together the dough on his own (not impossible if the end reward is a rich NHL deal). 1 2

Plus I am sure he signed a hometown discount to be near his family and with his new marriage etc. Edited July 12, 2018 by Hairy Kneel

J-23
Man I wasn't happy about him leaving but if he returns, we got Gudbranson, Woo and Tryamkin. That's a scary defensive lineup to go against, along with Hughes and Juolevi. 1

vannuck59
Tryamkin when his contract runs out will look at the whole league so don't get your hopes up better invest in trading his rights now then loose him for nothing.

The Canucks will still own his rights when his current KHL contract expires. So if he wants to return to the NHL, it’ll be with the Canucks 3 1

Kinda don’t want to correct this, because I agree that a player named Torpedo would be pretty awesome, but that’s not actually his name. Vladimir Galuzin plays for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod in the KHL. Torpedo is a pretty popular sports team name in Russia. I believe its history goes back to the old Soviet sporting societies that represented various groups of workers. I think Torpedo was the name given to teams representing automobile plant workers. Edited July 13, 2018 by SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
