[Report] Mike Green and Erik Fehr to test free agency

Recommended Posts

Green still thinks he's a megabucks defenseman. I think there are spots for him around the NHL, but even if we dump Juice for picks and buy out Higgins or something, we still won't have enough cap space for Green while filling a lineup. Should be an interesting ride for whatever team acquires the oft-injured tattoo junkie.

If Green is cheap enough, go for it. That said, I'm betting he will cost $7M+ per year and want a long contract.

Yup, don't think he'll be cheap enough. Ehrhoff maybe would be, or we sign someone like Barrett Jackman for some grit and veteran presence to help the young D coming in.

At least 7.5 for Green. With reports of Giordano wanting upwards of $9mill AAV, as well as Subbans contract last season, the price for a top two defender is about to skyrocket over the next few seasons.

This can't be accurate, 11-37-48 last year, scoring 14 goals in his highest year. I would laugh pretty hard if he got even half of that.

on pace for 15-50-65 last year if he didn't get hurt. not to mention he's solid defensively and undisputedly that team's leader.

he was a runaway norris favourite before his injury.

I'd love Green.

He's called Game-Over-Green for a reason. The guy is money on the point on the PP and in OT. Sedin-Sedin-Edler and Horvat-Baertshi-Green.

The game is not getting to a shootout. Somebody is winning that in OT because the puck is going in our net if it doesn't wind up in theirs :P
