Last year I picked Bob Hartley ..lol..(Calgary got off to a rough start)..He wound up winning coach of the year......I'm picking Claude Julien as the first to go,..he's been in Boston a long time, and I think the fans are falling out of favour with him..He's a good coach, but I think he's past his expiry date with the Bruins.

pretty safe to assume that the 2 people in this thread that don't know who mike johnston is have been canucks fans for less than 10 years.

True, Canucks fans should be very familair with him.

I wonder if Crow would hire him as an assistant again...

He got his "hat trick" back in August:

The agreement released by prosecutors said Fogle agrees to (1) pay $1.4 million in restitution to 14 minor victims, who will each receive $100,000. He will also be required to (2) register as a sex offender and (3) undergo treatment for sexual disorders.

I'm guessing Sutter. I realize he has had a lot of success. But the team missed the playoffs even though they were predicted to be cup favs last year. This year they have looked horrible. The Canucks outplayed them badly, I have watched the 2 other King games this year and they looked sluggish in both. Its like there is something more going on. End of the season the division will all be clumped together for playoff spots. They are already 7 points behind us.

The thing I'm not sure of with Sutter is whether his would be a firing or stepping down / retiring. There's already been speculation that he's lost his drive for the sport and would like to step away to chill out on his ranch. If the locker room is really as much of a mess as it appears to be right now, they might give him a nudge out of respect for the two cups he brought in that he'd be better getting out before the sh!t really hits the fan.

LA is really such a curious case right now in every aspect. They've got a few legit superstars right in their prime, but their only option at this point is quite possibly to do a semi- or full-rebuild. There's definitely no other team I'd choose if I had the option of being a fly on the wall in management's offices.

Anyhow I'll stick with my predictions from the other day - Julien or Richards. Julien at this point feels like an inevitability - more when? than if? But there's still the possibility that the team can scrape together some wins to delay it. CBJ on the other hand have a history of stumbling out of the gate (they currently have the worst goal differential, one worse than LA) under Richards, and his name comes up every year in hot seat debates. Last year he at least had the injury thing to fall back on. I could see him being first if they don't turn it around immediately.

This is really L.A.'s last kick at the can. Once the Kopitar extension is done, they will need a few years of rebuilding. Especially with all the assets they recently spent.

No way they let this year go though, as they already don't have a 1st round pick (goes to Carolina for Sekera deal). They also burned a 1st (14th overall) and another asset worth a 1st (Jones) just to get a half-price Lucic for this year.

The talent if there for the Kings, but I think they have a very divided lockerroom right now. Also, there was so much hell last year with Voynov, Stoll, and Richards, they must still be feeling that.
