Pickly Posted November 16, 2016 Share Posted November 16, 2016 It seems as if none of the Canucks forwards that were expected to take the next step and contribute more offensively have done that this season and all signs are pointing to a flawed coaching system that doesn't utilize certain players strengths. The old adage of letting players play to their strengths to maximize their value is clearly bogus to Willie as his strong emphasis on a defense first system and putting players in positions to fail is becoming more and more evident as the season goes on. Funny thing is the Canucks are brutal defensively 3 games out of 4 so go figure. Start by canning the coach, enable a new system and see where these players stand. If they are still struggling offensively (ie Bear, Loui, Virtanen) then the writing is on the wall that these players may not pan out as expected. Canucks were fortunate to win one in New York. They had their chances during the game and they started out well, but it's about how you finish that counts. Outplayed them all game, refs stepped up and made sure we don't win. I just wish the Canadian dollar would go back up and they'd stop fixing games to make us lose.
