Boy is that one hell of price to pay for a grinding 3rd line winger at best... at least reduces some hate on the Sharks

A 25 years old career AHLer, a goon that hasn't played in the NHL in five years and 7th round draft pick is a hell of price for a 3rd line grinder, at 70% of his salary?

Not really but the pick is valuable. almost every pick is valuable in any draft.  it's where you can find many gems. Like Benning might've found one in McKenzie and he was drafted in the 7th round

Yeah, but chances are the Senators will be able to get another 5-7th round pick by trading another player on their team, if not at the deadline, this summer before the draft.

Sharks have been heavily rumored (rumors, amirite?) to be heavily interested in Iginla and Doan (obviously only landing one). Perhaps a precursor to landing Iggy.

Isn't the whole reason the Sharks got smacked in the finals is because they were old and slow?

That, or because they don't have anyone on the same level as Crosby, Malkin, or a third liner of Kessel's ilk.
