[Rumour] Jannik Hansen Has Presented Management With a 8 Team List

They can ask. Doesn't mean he'll comply.  He submitted his list. He doesn't have to expand it if he doesn't want to.

Might also just be a tactic in getting those 8 teams that are probably trying to haggle us down into thinking we do have more options now. Look at what the market has been so far so give us a fair offer or we have lots of other teams we can trade him to.

I don't think people should lose their minds if Hansen isn't traded at the deadline.

it is not impossible that his price stays the same or even goes up after expansion because suddenly more than half the teams in the league are going to be short a forward.

There is also the fact he also has value to us for next year, and depending on our season he could end up being a rental then and netting us a return.

If he is here after expansion there would be ZERO point to trade him.

The main reason to trade him now is one less quality forward to have to expose.

There would absolutely still be reason to trade him.

You could get a high draft pick or a great prospect in return for a guy who is older and on the downhill side of his career.

There is almost no chance that trading Hansen affects what will happen to us in expansion one way or the other.

if faced with picking up Granlund or Sbisa/Gudbranson.... it is the D every time.

Even is they don't want to keep that D, acquiring them and then trading them away to another team nets a much better forward than Granlund.

Downhill? He is 30 and just had a career year last year? You're trippin'

Well who is the most desperate to load up after the deals that have been made?

We know Chicago had interest in Burr. They next to make a move? Or maybe Pittsburgh?

Dallas just lost Cracknell on RW

Edit: Missing Hemskey too ...

I think the Burrows trade, just set the bar on what we should expect for Hansen. 5 years younger, with a nice friendly cap hit and under contract for another season so, not a rental.

Could still be considered a rental because of expansion draft. Depends on what forwards the team prefers.

Good thing about Hansen is that the pressure isn't on JB to trade him since he has another year. Would be different if he was a pending UFA.

I'm sure teams will try some low ball offers leading up to the deadline though. He's gotta stick to his guns.
