People who can't differentiate between leagues are. By your logic, a player that nets 100 points in a CHL season is superior to a player that nets 70 points in an AHL season. That was the old me. I'm a changed man. This Swede is the best pick last draft for JB.

That's why the team sucks with no hope for the near future. Kid with Datsyuk-ian hands making tape to tape, behind the back passes like Henrik Sedin, playing well in Sweden’s top league? Sky is falling!!! His goal scoring friend, son of a longtime NHLer may soon be joining him? I HATE THIS TEAM! lol Edited October 15, 2017 by nergish

TheHitman
Excited at the thought of us drafting Svechnikov and slotting him in beside Pettersson. Could be our Backstrom/Ovechkin pairing.

This franchise desperately needs one of them, preferably Dahlin but I would gladly have Svechnikov as well. I just want to see the Canucks get a high end goal scorer that can jump to the league immediately. Svechnikov looks like he could be that guy.

Will he go whining back to Russia if he doesn't get 59 minutes of ice per game?

Still rather have an offensive defenceman who can make the team right away. But probability is that even if we are bad enough to finish last, the earliest we'll pick is fourth - I believe that was written into the NHL charter by Bettman along with his instructions to the supervisor of officials. No, I am not paranoid, I only have a single noid.

Like running away with the SHL U20 scoring race level good. And top-5 in points and points/game among SHL U24s level good. And he's still gonna be 18 for another month.

Besides, EP looks really nice and shinny right now. He is skinny atm, but so was 99. Gifted IQ, hands and speed. I would be very comfortable seeing him, Bo Gaunce and Gaudette as our future centres if we had a top puckmoving d man like Dahlen. Added to that, Brock is proving that he can snipe at the NHL. Hockey is a layered game strategy wise. For every player that teams have to focus on, it allows a player of lesser ability to gain better match ups and opportunities. Having a force multiplier like a OJ, Dahlen pairing would be that IMO.

We already have Dahlen
Tre Mac
We have Brett Hull 2.0 in Boeser, now he needs his Adam Oates 2.0 in Pettersson. Also we're all in for Dahlin
