The CHL-AHL agreement is that any player drafted from the CHL must have played 4 seasons in junior or turn 20 by December 31st of that year (whichever happens first) to be eligible to play in the AHL. I don't think his 6 game season counts, but he will turn 20 on October 16, 2018 making him eligible to play in the AHL for the 2018-19 season. Him, Gaudette, Gadjovich and maybe even Pettersson could all be added to a Comets playoff run this spring as well. Watch out AHL.

Popular Post -Vintage Canuck-
WHL Player of the Week - Kole Lind: Quote Calgary, Alta. – The Western Hockey League announced to that Kelowna Rockets forward Kole Lind has been named the WHL On the Run Player of the Week for the week ending September 24, 2017. Selected by the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks (2-33) at the 2017 NHL Draft, Lind registered eight points (3G-5A) over two games to start the 2017-18 WHL regular season. On Friday, September 22, Lind kick-started his weekend with a three-point effort, which included the game-winning goal and two assists in a 6-2 triumph over the Blazers, earning third-star recognition along the way. On Saturday, September 23, Lind rattled off five points and was named second star as the Rockets defeated the Blazers 5-2 in Kamloops. He was also recognized as the WHL’s First Star for his Saturday performance. Lind, an 18-year-old product of Shaunavon, Sask., set career highs during the 2016-17 WHL regular season, notching 87 points (30G-57A) in 70 games with the Rockets. Over 148 career WHL regular season games, the 6-foot-1, 173-pound right winger has accumulated 137 points (47G-90A). Lind almost had a fight earlier in the game but the refs broke it up. Really liking Lind and that taunt after was gorgeous. We need players that absolutely piss the other team off. I'm curious to see if Lind can outscore Cody Glass this season

I'm curious to see if Lind can outscore Cody Glass this season Lind's opening weekend has to be the best opening weekend ever for a Canuck prospect in the CHL. Following the top prospects this season looks like it will a lot more fun than last year (or maybe ever). Lind could be one of the top players in the WHL, Gadjovich and DiPietro should be very good in the OHL, Pettersson already looks great in the SHL, and some of the prospects in Utica should be very good, like Chatfield, Demko, Brisebois, and Dahlen, along with Goldy and Jake if they are sent down (although I think Jake will make the big team). And there will still be Juolevi to follow, presumably in the Finland. And Gaudette and Lockwood should be very good in the NCAA. Compare that with the top prospects last year: Boeser had a hand injury that took him out of the WJC and hurt his season (although he was still good). Brisebois had a solid season, but not an exciting season. Juolevi had a good season but was, let's face it, a bit underwhelming. We all know about Jake's struggles, although he did make progress. I think Demko was the only top prospect who met or exceeded expectations last year, and Gaudette emerged as a top prospect. And of course the Canucks added Goldy and Dahlen at the deadline and signed Chatfield in March, but that was after most of the season was gone, so those guys were not available as Canuck prospects to follow for most of the season. In any case, this could be a huge year for the prospects. And the Canucks might have 4 or 5 impact players at the WJC this year (Pettersson, Lind, Gads, DiPietro, Lockwood). Utica should also have a much better year, with quite a lot more talent than last year and, most importantly, some really good prospects in the line-up.

Not going to give it too much weight in the grand scheme (Schneider had the same learning curve), but he certainly did not meet the expectations most of us had. missioncanucksfan
I'm surprised more ppl haven't been tripping over themselves after seeing Lind being compared to Benn. Would be freakin sweet if that did happen tho. If He can grow another inch and squeeze in another 15 lbs of strength, look out!! After seeing guys like Lind, Gadjovich and DiPietro churn out the weekend they just had, I'm hoping Benning and Co start hoarding 2nd/3rd picks like a kid hoards xmas presents. Just imagine what life would've been like had previous dudes like Nonis and Gillis did the same with all of their picks they pissed away in the past.
