Because of Lind’s birthdate, he was ineligible for the 2016 draft. Dube is born in July of 1998 while Lind is born in October of 1998. Personally, I like Lind’s game more than Dube’s. They are entirely different players. Lind is a top 6 player at his top professional potential - probably a 20 to 30 goal man with speed. Dube is a bottom six "defense" first player who all teams need but can find more easily than a top six. I wouldn't mind both in my prospect pool but if picking one, I take Lind. Lind reminds me of Glass who I wanted Canucks to take last year over EP. Boy, I got that one wrong but I still think Glass is a good player but Lind is pretty much a carbon copy in many ways. 1

And Lind brings some of that edge as well. Pretty brutal chirper according to multiple people. A real douchebag to play against. But hey, we need some of those players. Makes games that more fun to watch. I've always compared Lind to a Wayne Simmonds type. Both 6'1 and 185lbs and both play a similar style crash and bang, in your face type players. Blend of speed and skill and real tenacious with an offensive upside of course. 1

I actually like that a lot we need Dave Bolland, Troy Brouwer, Alex Burrows and Janik Hansen (with softer hands) type players.
Derp...
Up to 1.68 points per game now. Looking like he will compete even harder out there. will be interesting to see if he gets a contract and any AHL games at the end of the year.
flickyoursedin
Wonder with Dube gone if Lind is getting the better linemates and even better scoring opportunities.

Good news... Have a feeling that although we may not have the Hanson brothers, we're going be a tougher team to play against. Gaudette, Gadjovic, Lind, Lockwood all sounds like players, who has a bit of an edge. Add Jake and Horvat maybe even Gaunce to that, and it definitely looks like a harder team to play. Popular Post Where'd Luongo?
I was at the game, Lind dominated and in the fight they each gave a couple good rights and a few odd punches, decent fight.

Popular Post SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME
Some good quotes from Lind in the latest “Stanks’ Sermon” blog. http://stankssermon.blogspot.ca/2017/12/rockets-lind-out-to-lessen-sting-of.html?m=1 On getting cut from TC: “It has definitely been an emotional roller-coaster for me going from heartbreak and trying to bounce back and play two games right away “It was definitely a difference for me traveling and everything. “Something that I have been through a lot is trying to stay mentally tough and just staying with the game. Hockey has been something that just takes my mind off everything it seems like. It has definitely helped me get through it.” On using it as motivation: “Sam Steel did the same thing last year, a late cut and he ended up winning WHL player of the year “I want to go out there and try and prove something and just try to play my best game.” On his 3 assist night: “I think my teammates create a lot of space for me, and they got open for me,” “I think that was the main thing. “I’ve always been kind of a playmaker, finding holes through guys’ skates and their sticks and bodies. I just try to look for that. My guys got open. “It made it easy playing with the guys I did tonight.” On the fight: “I’ve done a bit of it in my career,” said Lind. “I try to hold my own and not have anyone step in for me because I want to be a guy who can do anything.” On getting some wins heading into the break: “We had two big wins carrying a lot of momentum into the break “I think that is something that you always look for. “Now we are just going to try and carry it on and have our rest here and go into the second half on a positive side.” 3 3
RetroCanuck
Good to see he's not afraid of the physical side of the game. You always want guys on your team who aren't afraid to drop the gloves, especially when theres a dirty hitand your standing up for a teammate. Have to think he gets a contract done soon and will be in Utica next year. Exciting to see so many prospects with high potential.
