Has anyone else been counting down the days until the season has started? My god off-season is too long for us hockey fanatics. I want a Boeser hatty and a Mcdavid flatty (as in Dorsett flattening him with a clean hit. Welcome to the new season buddy). Other then that a Canucks win. Make it happen boys! Go Canucks Go! :towel:

I am hoping Eriksson and Boeser get swapped. Eriksson has played well with Granlund in the past.

I agree. I don't know why it is not clear to the coaching staff.

Start with the pairs:

Baertschi-Horvat-?

Sedin-Sedin-?

Eriksson-Granlund-?

?-Sutter-Dorsett

then, simply fill in the question marks using Gagner, Vanek, Burmistrov, Virtanen, Boeser.

Boeser, Vanek, Gagner, Burmistrov/Virtanen.

Granlund is likely not on a pair - he's the most versatile player on the team.  There seems to be 3 pairs set - Sedins, Baer-Horvat and Sutter-Dorsett.

Nux to win 4-3 in O.T.

Dorsett to have a fight and Gudbranson to nail Lucic.

Baertschi to score first Nux goal of season and Bo to win it in OT...

On a side note... Oilers spent over a decade ruining youngsters... see they are starting Yamamoto right away, have they not learned anything?

Just wonder how long it'll be before he'll get crushed on the ice???

After the preseason we just witnessed I think Gagner and Virtanen need to be together.

I'd prefer this:

Baertschi-Horvat-Boeser

Sedin-Sedin-Granlund

?-Gagner-Virtanen

?-Sutter-Dorsett

And put in a mixture of Vanek, Burmistov, Eriksson in either spot.

Also Granlund and the Sedins started to find some chemistry last year and I think it would be good to try to see if it can revitalize the Sedins this year.

I may be a fool, but that edmonton lineup doesnt scare me one bit. Box mcdavid out as best as you can, and if you can contain him to even just 1 goal, you win the game pretty much. We have a pretty decent 4 line rolling lineup. I like our chances. I repeat, the oilers really dont scare me, only mcdavid does.

Sitting Virtanen is going to be a mistake. We need his speed for this game.

Was exactly what I was thinking.  Take Vanek out and let him play.  Bringing Vanek in only made sense as a place filler for Brock or Jake if they were going to be in the AHL.
