Well in the case of Tanev he just plays recklessly. However more pressure in your end leads to more shots against and more chances to get hit. This leads to more injuries. Thats why our guys are injured so often. Either you're dictating the play or your sitting back and getting beat up.

The Canucks still had injury issues even when they were winning President's trophies. The problem is they don't have enough depth to withstand these injuries. Not nearly at the rate we've seen. Let’s stop with this sham of “competing for a playoff spot” and try to build the best new team possible...PLEASE Exactly. We all know how good he is but he is just too fragile or just getting so beat up. It is the style of play that puts him in the line of fire. I wonder how many shots he has blocked in his carrier. khay
3 minutes ago, DeNiro said: Injuries on this team are not based on luck. This is what happens when you play passive and let the other team dictate the pace. It's been happening for years. Yes. Well, we are not letting the other team dictate the play. we just suck so we have no choice. It's plain and simple, we have been sucking for the last few years. Full of players that can't make plays under pressure. With the decline of the Sedins, that's twenty minutes of ice time that we used to control the play gone, making the team even worse. Tampa is playing two forecheckers up high and yet, because we don't have any defenseman that can skate around one forechecker, we just turn the puck over. With one decent skating defenseman, we should be able to make easy zone entries when the opposition is playing such formation. Despite having a plethora of prospects up front, if we don't upgrade the back end, we ain't going far.
