I thought NB would get this group going on the right track. It looks stale and has no creativity built into it. Same ol' same ol' tired looking PP. I would really like to see EP have more creative space to skate with the puck ALA Bure or Kane and we need someone to screen the goalie for a change. Bo standing beside the goalie is getting old. It would behoove the team to use some of their larger, harder to move players in front of the goalie.

The 2nd PP had a really nice goal awhile ago where Jake was the screen. Not sure why we don't give him at least a sniff on the top PP. Its not like its doing that great anyway so it wouldn't hurt to try different things out.

Being the demon is fitting, he's going to hell. While the likes of Page, Pop, Richards, and Obsourne were actually rocking and rolling all night, Gene was getting tucked in by Paul Stanley. Not going to be easy for the Canucks to pull this one out of the hat. Hawk's are going to try and expose Tanev playing on his wrong side. I expect a heavy down low forecheck forcing Canuck's cough up the puck on the first pass. 4 hours ago, Zhukini said: Kane is playing like the best in the world right now and the hawks are rolling, i think this is going to be one of the better games of the season, but 7-5 Chicago Both these comments sound plausible to me. Hawks are a bit like the Flyers: didn't expect to be in the playoffs but have slowly climbed back into it. Higher scoring this game though: 5-4 Hawks in OT. BrazilianCanuck
I would love to see Roussel move up. He's been scoring consistently as of late and is playing well. His time with Bo generated some scoring opportunities and some goals. Get Virt on the other wing and we have a heavy hard-to-play-against line which can score. Let's see if they get some time together tonight. GO CANUCKS!

bishopshodan
First game I ever saw live was Nucks Vs Hawks at the old Colosseum. Was amazing, we lit them up. Can't remember what year, Roenick , Belfour and Chelios were all on the team at the time. Anyway, Still hate you, you stinking dirty Hawks. Go Nucks! Obviously Stecher and Hutton stay together, and I would put Brisebois with Tanev and see how he does. The Pouliot/Guddy pairing has struggled at times but they have also been okay at times. But I guess Green wants to give Tanev/Guddy another shot after their "learning experience" against Washington. They probably will be better second time out. As for the forwards, missing Baer makes a big difference. The Canucks cannot ice two legitimate top 6 scoring lines at present. I think keeping Goldy, EP, and Boeser together makes sense, but I would put Virtanen with Horvat and move Leivo to the left side. Ganny would then go to the Sutter line. I think that Virtanen, Horvat, and Leivo can play a high energy up-tempo game and generate some chances the old-fashioned way -- good forecheck and driving the net. At the goalie position, it does make a lot of sense to rest Marky as long as he continues to play well, and it sounds as though Demko is not too far away. I still expect to see DiPietro get a start somewhere along the line. I would leave petey, BB and Goldy together - but play Rousell and Jake with Bo - but I'm not the coach - darn

Was hoping for granlund or Virtanen to be on 1st. Horvat can play with anyone, question is how creative or sniiper-ish those players are. I noticed the hawks are on a roll, full of confidence, just like flyers were. This could get ugly but im hoping for a lot of goals and a good game. And some magic from petey and ofc...if marky can stay in the zone like he has, we should have a chance.
Pears
No two ways around it, this is our biggest game in four years. I think if we can get and stay hot up to the trade deadline, that should be a sign to start believing a little.
Mrwipeout
Brock a generational talent? Hes got a nose for the net in the most natural of ways. Thats what makes him special and an elite player. Generational? i say it depends on how u evolve during the first 3 years in the NHL. If u get the right flow, work hard and have that little bit of luck and get the right bounces u can get a confidence higher then others. With that and a hard work ethic, he can become one, hes still young and if he stays with petey they will most likely become the best duo since the sedins. The whole team will be able to build on the success of players like Brock, Bo and petey. And everyone has high hopes for hughes also. These guys are starting something and id say its something quite out of the ordinary.
