Both McDavid and Doughty are very frusterating with the way their seasons have gone and the direction their teams have taken. Maybe they should swap teams? *this assumes LA wins draft lottery* to Edmonton 2019 1st overal Drew Doughty To LA 2019 8th overal Connor McDavid. Pears Posted April 2, 2019 Share Posted April 2, 2019 Makes zero sense for Edmonton getting that little for McDavid. Doughty is 29 and his new contract kicks in on July 1st. IMO any McDavid trade has to include at minimum 2 top prospects, a top young NHL ready defenseman, 2 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick.
