We are better...…...the question is how much? Waitaminute... wait a minute... I’m talking Jeff Patterson , and your talking Elias Pettersen... ForestFalcon
Looks like family was a major factor in him deciding to move out here. That combined with the team's current position and build, you can see why he'd sign here at quite a reasonable deal for Free Agency.

oldnews
Thoughtful commentary from Myers imo. Interestingly, he said that the initial in person conversations were what really tilted him towards signing.
Popular Post MikeBossy
I said it earlier and will say it again - I saw him play live 8 times in Winnipeg when I lived there in 2017 - Tyler can not only shoot the pack and make an outlet pass but he can skate and he uses his reach with his stick to his advantage. 1

They are a bunch of donkeys that seem to know very little about the Canucks. Pretty disappointing that is their job, yet they are so uninformed.

Roussel Sutter Virtanen Leivo Beagle Motte I think is the bottom six, when healthy, at present. But that's not really why I responded. What excites me, in addition to a well built, balanced lineup - is that beyond the lineup (my version) - you have Podkolzin, Gaudette, Hoglander, Madden, Gadjovich, LInd, Lockwood. Jasek...a pretty good complement of drafted forward prospects - and a few good UFA signings as well - McEwen et al. And they have Juolevi and Woo - both good bets on both sides of the blueline. Sautner, Brisebois, Chatfield - young AHLers that have realistic chances of upticking to NHL quality players... Really they just need to stay the course - maybe look to add D prospects, particularly RHD prospects - but no hurry to do so with Tanev, Myers, Stecher, Biega, Woo - it's a future looking priority, but lots of time to address. Goaltending somewhat goes without saying - young and deep. One of these years the Canucks will remain relatively healthy - and not only they, but Utica as well, will be very competitive. 1
Kanukfanatic
It makes sense that Myers would probably play with Edler. The Jets posters say Myers biggest deficiency is playing defence (he can move the puck well, skate, and shoot). Playing with Edler, who is a solid defender, would allow Myers to be a bit more offensive. You could then play Hughes with Tanev who is able to insulate young players. Edler Myers Hughes Tanev Benn Stecher I still would have liked to see Tanev get moved in some type of trade (Tanev & Virtanen for Risto) but that does not look like it will happen.
