Virtanen's alright playing his position, he speed helps him get to the point quickly, his strength helps him move the puck out. 

 

But he has trouble with the puck, knowing what to do with it, making quick decisions. Not always but its a common thing.

Wow Goldobin, what was he thinking ? He was chasing after the puck and peels off at the end. That seals the deal for me about him. Send Goldobin to the minors or trade him for a 7th round pick

I like Graovac - don't see him making the roster, but at this point he's probably played as well, if not better than Schaller....

I'm with you on that. Motte is a heart and soul guy but gRayovac is a battery out there. He does everything Motte does, but has more talent, and size.

the point is the comparison you want is dumb.  its relative to a lot of things.  the sedins had "high IQ" in part because they execute so well with the puck they can create deception/get into the heads of other players.  Just because Jake isnt at that level doesnt mean he has low IQ.  Like I said

Why are you so obsessed with it, why is it so black and white. He clearly has a good hockey IQ to be as solid defensively as he is. 

 

Is he disappointing in the context of a top 6 draft pick? Of course. But that doesn't negate some of the positives of his game.
