While whatever happened in the season is irrelevant now, because that was so long ago, one thing remains the same. The Calgary Flames depth and and lack of speed will likely be their undoing. The Jets certainly aren’t without their flaws. Their depth is also not terrific, Eakin as their 2nd line center will be a massive problem, and their defence isn’t terrific. But what destroyed the Flames against the Avs last year in the playoffs was they just couldn’t keep up with them. Far too fast. The Flames haven’t gotten faster since COVID.

I put jets in 4. Maybe because I think they have the offensive weapons to win. Maybe because Hellebuck is a beast...or more likely because I don’t like Johnny Hockey and his gang of misfit toys.

You're forgetting how badly Colorado bullied the Flamers last year.  Cahlgary is full of fake tough guys who turtle when it's time to be a man and face the music for the garbage they pull.  Jets expose these clowns for the cowards they are.

Agreed. Exactly what you said - and that joke of a patch-up rebuild they did is laughable. Yes they have some very good D prospects, but that team is a dog's breakfast.

I hate the Flames more than any other team and that's why I want them to win this series. The idea that they can have a shot at Lafreniere is too frightening. If they win, they will get take out by Colorado in the next round anyways

The reason I want the Flames to win is cause we have a much better shot at beating them than the Jets if it ever comes to that lol.  They're the better team though if Hellebuyck plays anywhere close to mortal.  Just remember the Jets expected goals % this year was lower than this year's Detroit Red Wings...the worst team of the modern era.
