Joel Armia had a play in Montreal, a 1 on 1 with the goalie pulled but had he taken and missed it would have been a 3-1 going the other way... so instead of shooting on the net he looked shot, curled to the boards, and tied it up in their end for 15 seconds as the one guy had to desperately try to dig it out.

 

That's the play you gotta make. Win the game, don't pad the stats.

 

I don't think he was looking to pad the stats I think he was just looking to seal the deal. Can't do that when your on a PK though.
