Popular Post -DLC-
Quote The Vancouver Canucks play the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4 of their Western Conference Semi-Final, trailing the best-of-seven series 2-1. Tonight's game is presented by Rogers. QUICK NUMBERS • Quinn Hughes has 11 points (1-10-11) in his last 12 games. • Elias Pettersson has 16 points (5-11-16) in his last 12 games and ranks 2nd in 2019.20 playoff scoring. • Brock Boeser has 9 points (3-6-9) in his last 12 games. • Bo Horvat has 10 points (8-2-10) in his last 12 games. • J.T. Miller has 11 points (5-6-11) in his last 12 games. • Tyler Motte has 4 points (4-0-4) in his last 5 games. • Brandon Sutter has 4 points (0-4-4) in his last 5 games. • Tyler Toffoli has 3 points (1-2-3) in his last 2 games. LAST GAME PLAYED - Aug. 29/20: VAN 0 vs VGK 3 Tyler Toffoli played in his 50th career postseason game...Brock Boeser and Bo Horvat led the team in shots (4)...Alex Edler led the team in blocked shots (4)...Antoine Roussel led the team in hits (5)...Quinn Hughes led the team in TOI (26:22)...Bo Horvat won 16 face-offs... Jacob Markstrom faced 34 shots. HE SHOOTS, HE SCORES • The Canucks have scored 39 goals on 335 shots this postseason. Their 11.6 shooting percentage ranks first in the NHL (Through Aug. 28/20). LET THE EAGLE SOAR • On Aug. 21/20, Alex Edler skated in his 75th career playoff game with Vancouver, eclipsing Sami Salo (74) for the most by a defenceman in Canucks franchise history. • With 37 points (8-29-37) in 78 games, Alex Edler leads all active Canucks skaters in postseason scoring. • Edler is also within reach of setting new franchise records by a Canucks defenceman. HERO HORVAT Bo Horvat scored his fifth goal of the 2020 postseason on Aug. 14/20 to extends his goal streak to three games - the longest playoff goal streak by a Canucks player since Alexandre Burrows in 2011 (3 GP). Bo Horvat currently leads the NHL in postseason faceoff wins (177) (Through Aug. 28/20). On Aug. 25/20 Horvat recorded a multi-goal game for the third time this post-season, making him the third Canucks player in team history to achieve that feat during a playoff run, behind Cliff Ronning's four multi-goal games in 1992 and Pavel Bure's five two-goal outings in 1994. Horvat now leads the 2019.20 playoffs in goals scored (8)(through Aug. 28/20), and ranks eighth on the list for most goals in a postseason in Canucks franchise history. CALDER CONTENDER Quinn Hughes currently ranks t-2nd among all defenceman in 2019.20 postseason points (1-10-11)(through Aug. 28/20). On Aug. 16/20 Quinn Hughes matched the longest point streak by a rookie defenseman in NHL history, set by Al MacInnis (6 GP in 1984 w/ CGY) and equaled by Zarley Zalapski (6 GP in 1989 w/ PIT). Hughes tied Henrik Sedin for a Canucks franchise record with six consecutive postseason games with an assist. On Aug. 25/20 Quinn Hughes recorded an assist, giving him 10 assists in 12 playoff games, which makes him just the second defenceman in NHL history under the age of 21 to hit that mark in so few games. Al MacInnis sits atop the list with 12 assists in his first 11 playoffs games played. Hughes also tied the Canucks franchise record for most points by a rookie in the postseason with 11. STARTING OFF ON THE RIGHT FOOT Pettersson recorded his first career three-point game in the postseason on Aug. 25/20 and boosted his totals to 5-11-16 since Aug. 1 (12 GP), ranking 2nd for the League lead. This set a Canucks record for the most playoff points in the first 12 games (16). Pettersson has six multi-point games this month - only three players in franchise history have posted more in a postseason: Thomas Gradin in 1982, Trevor Linden in 1994 and Henrik Sedin in 2011 (all w/ 7). On Aug. 25/20 Pettersson became the fifth player age 21 or younger to record at least six multi-point games in their first 12 career playoff games, joining Wayne Gretzky (7), Sidney Crosby (7), Don Maloney (6) &Ken Linseman (6). Pettersson's six multi-point games leads the NHL this post- season. REMARKABLE • On Aug. 21/20 Jacob Markstrom joined Kirk McLean in 1994 as the only goalies in Canucks history to make 30+ saves in 5 straight playoff games. • With 213 saves in the St. Louis series, Jacob Markstrom surpasses Roberto Luongo (209) for most saves in the first 6 games. NO PAIN, NO GAIN • On Aug. 25/20 the Canucks recorded 40 blocked shots, a single-game franchise record in the playoffs. • This is the 2nd most blocked shots recorded in a non-OT game in Stanley Cup Playoffs history - the record is 41 by the Canadiens on Apr 28, 2010 vs the Capitals. GO SHORTY • Giving his club the 4-3 lead on Aug. 19/20, Tyler Motte joins Bo Horvat (Gm2 of this series), Russ Courtnall (May 15, 1995), Pavel Bure (May 19/95), Trevor Linden (6/14/94) &Jyrki Lumme (4/12/91) as the only Canucks to get 2+ goals in a playoff game with at least 1 being a shorthanded tally. • Tyler Motte & Bo Horvat are the first teammates with a 2-goal, 1-shorthanded goal game in the same playoff series since Claude Giroux & Max Talbot for the Flyers in their 2012 series vs the Penguins. 1 9 2 1

Gawdzukes
Not liking this one. I actually stopped watching after the first yesterday. I knew they were done ... I was also day drinking and thought the game was at 4:30 though. Just one wish, can Hughes and Tanev stop puck watching/being useless and actually cover Tuch and the flip pass. It's getting bloody embarrassing. Hopefully they show up today. Edited August 30, 2020 by Gawdzukes
Jaimito
Must win Everyone can play a lot better. Too much focus on one or two players. Need all hands on deck. No passengers 1

Nucker 67
What are the odds Tanev and Hughes get burned again by a Tuch breakaway goal? Happens every game. I'm assuming a rested Fleury and a tired Markstrom will start? 1 1
Jester13
I've been saying this every game, we need our legs to win. Any time we're a little tired we lose. When our legs are light and moving we dominate. We got this! 3-2 Nuckeroos 1

I agree on the goalies.
