I think we need to get more quality prospects too.

In the past, Abby/Utica has rebuild Markström’s game, developed Demko essentially.

We’ve had more promise when the farm team was in Manitoba.

The goalie coaching  has been good

Is this the final cut? If so, wow! Congrats.

Remains to be seen if he gets into the lineup. Fingers crossed!

Truscott getting a new coach.  Mel Pearson was fired after a report highlighted how he created a culture of abuse.

From the Michigan Daily:  The decision was well justified. WilmerHale’s 68-page report included evidence that Pearson committed misconduct several times over the course of his tenure at Michigan. It detailed retaliation against former goaltender Strauss Mann for raising concerns about the team, bullying and harassment of women in the Wolverines’ program and encouragement of student athletes to lie on COVID-19 contact tracing records.

If what was stated is true then he deserved to be fired.

Brandon Naurato has been named interim head coach for the 2022/23 season.

From their press release:

https://mgoblue.com/news/2022/8/7/brandon-naurato-named-interim-head-coach-of-ice-hockey.aspx

A native of Livonia, Mich., Naurato recently completed his first season on the U-M bench following three years with the Detroit Red Wings organization, where he served as a player development consultant. In that role, he worked with the Red Wings and Grand Rapids Griffins coaching staffs to incorporate individual player skills into the organizational structure.

Along with running all prospect development for Detroit in the summer months, Naurato worked independently with junior, college and professional players in his development program, focusing on blending technical, tactical and transferable skills. He also spent seven years as the owner and director of Total Package Hockey in Detroit, where he started the first online hockey academy in the United States.

Notable NHL players that have worked with Naurato include Zach Werenski, Quinn Hughes, Dylan Larkin, Jacob Trouba, Jack Hughes, Kyle Connor, JT Compher and Andrew Copp.

Our prospect pool is definitely better than what some people will admit it to be. Although these players may or may not necessarily be NHLers, Truscott, a late round gamble, is showing that he's a pretty good pick so far.

He has played a lot of RD next to Luke Hughes and done very well with it.

Maybe we should promote his development on the right side; it would be good for us and good for him as RD are in such demand he might have a longer and more lucrative career.

Who said the pipeline is empty?

We are getting looks at a lot of our good prospects this summer.

The ones JR doesn't like, he can feel free to add to trades.
