I don't know how this is any better if there will be more back-to-back games to be played. If this is true, it would only mean they get an extra two days of rest at the start before they go on a more intense grind.

the coach and GM determine Ice time and who plays. It’s on them and if players don’t feel ready the support them.

 

I don’t want a season that’s a total loss to injure any player so play the kids snd taxi squad.

JB could have called up guys last Friday from Utica they’d be cleared and ready for tomorrow 

they’ve been playing we are in a situation that we will be in tough to be competitive regardless of the line up.

Really not surprised, I thought they would give them 24 hours, but 48 hours makes more sense. I know other teams have played after being off for a week, but this team has been down for more than 3 weeks.

 

They need this time to get back to even close to game shape.

What the NHL is doing with the schedule is obvious.
 

They are disregarding health and safety to force a recovering team to squeeze in all games so that they don’t interrupt the playoffs start time anymore they already have, both for the Northern teams and also the other  qualifying teams. 

 

I’m glad JTM voiced his concern. 
 

NHL is treating this exceptional scenario as a minor blip, ‘other teams have gone through it’ my @$$

just kill the 4 games vs Ottawa, reschedule the rest of the games starting next Wednesday to give the guys a full week off.

Nothing official yet. Let's hope nux is still talking with NHLPA and NHL.  It can only benefit NHL to have a better product on ice and also not risk injuries of covid recovered athletes.  This can blow up in their face.

I hear you. But looking at the schedule it does make sense. 4/8, and last 4 in a row, vs Ottawa. We could even play those out once the playoffs begin if there was some reason to for lotto placement.
