the entirety of the team efforts and overall success is based on nothing more than bad goal tending. our players did not deserve those goals, it would have been much better if we were shutout. of course, that is what we deserve. END THE THREAD!

And call me crazy but I think Quinn Hughes moves better with the 10 pounds he supposedly lost. He was doing some slinky things out there that reminded me of his rookie campaign.

What can you say, gutsy effort by everyone, especially our character playoff guys Bo, Pearson, Sutter, Myers, Hamonic, Schmidt and Holtby who carried the team. Nice contributions across the board but it was our gritty stars who won this one with a hard matchup. Bo doesn't get enough credit for tonight but he and Pearson look like our best line right now. I was disappointed with Miller and Boeser, we need more from them, but Hughes was brilliant.

 

Looks like this break has been a blessing rather than a curse - we look refreshed, hungry and the boys are having fun. Maybe hockey has become a nice break from their past couple of weeks, whereas before we seemed sloppy and disengaged. Now we can see Montreal and Calgary slipping too, there's a hunger we haven't seen all season.

 

We really need 8/8 points from Ottawa so let's hope we keep rolling, they have been in good form of late too. I think we ride Holtby, give Demko a couple of the next 2 games because then it gets very hard again against the top 3 teams...

Really?  You were disappointed with both of them?  They both had 2 Assists.  And were integral in the goals.  All assists were primary assists.  How much more do you want from them?  I can agree if you're talking about last game, but they did just fine tonight.

Tough market to play in. We’ve seen it with our goaltenders in the past. It’s amazing how over the past number of years that’s changed and we’ve had pretty stellar goaltending. Takes the right kind of attitude to play in a big market. 
 

You won’t hear Green call out his goaltending, he knows better then that.
