I would really like to see Virtanen try another coach besides Green. Maybe he'll be scratched a lot. I dunno. We'll see.

The exhaustion errors - the puck moving mistakes- that we saw early in the season when they were in the midst of that gruelling start that they weren't ready for - has crept back into their game.   Veterans no different - Schmidt has made a handful of them as well. 

 

Not sure there's much you can do about it.  There's gonna be some ugly games down the stretch.

 

As the Dr. put it...they've got nothing left...

 

 

Couldn't have said that better. Exactly it. The exhaustion is so evident in all aspects of their play. It's obvious they need more rest between games. It was shocking in the 1st to see guys so slow getting to the bench. 

 

I just don't see any sense in kicking these guys when they're down this season. We'll be much better when we put all of this behind us.

It got better once the Whisperers showed up. Seasons 7-8 were painful. 
Samantha Morton and Ryan Hurst play the two main Whisperers and do it very well.

Which is exactly why Green should be deploying his taxi squad.  6 fresh bodies, plus 3 more roster players is about 1/2 the team, but no, the cap math is too complicated, just go with one minor change to deflect any criticism

I’m hoping they get another solid player in the draft. Or a few. How that translates to the Canucks? Who knows.
