Til the draft, we're going to get a good talent from the first round

Maybe more if Benning can get some hits in the second round and beyond

But I agree, he's gonna go a long way to helping this team going forward, capwise and on the ice

Yes you’re right another top 10 pick should garner an A-prospect :emot-parrot:

In any event, this guy will look great on Horvat's wing.

Be excited, folks.  I'm giving Podkolzin my seal of approval.

You're a clown!! You like doing this all day evey day for attention...how does it feel to do something a child would do?!

I think he was responding to the smarmy comments earlier in the thread... slamming people who don't think Benning is doing a good job because he is now amazing by managing to sign a player whose rights are owned by the club without any negotiating rights on the player's side thanks to the CBA.

... you know, something that every GM does every year.. sign their entry level draft picks.

Really if that is the bar for people to stick out their chests and get all huffy about... that DOES say something about low the expectations are for Benning at this point.

Hell ya . With Miller as a true C option the Canucks could have a pretty deep forward core:

______ - Petey - Boeser

Hoglander - Miller - _______

Pearson - Horvat - Podkolzin

Motte - Beagle - Highmore

Inserting one more solid top-9 winger (signing Granlund, Palmieri, Armia?) into there would really would be ideal. Maybe give Emil Pettersson a PTO too?

I've actually loved the idea of bringing in Armia. I like Granlund too as he can play all three forward positions sufficiently.

Granlund - Petey - Boeser

Hoglander - Miller - Armia

Pearson - Horvat - Podkolzin

Motte - Beagle - Highmore

THAT is a forward group I can get behind.

That's a killer third line.

Apparently Benning can't do anything without AV being critical of him and the organization...

Makes you wonder...

Not really criticizing him as much as I am the fans in this thread.

Hope this helps.

That forward group looks resemblant of a team like Detroit or Dallas' in the early 2000's. We also have one of the league's next best goaltenders. Defence is a work in progress...
