Yeah, he played awesome last game too. Sometimes you don't realize what you have until it's gone. Miller, Bo, Beagle, Sutter. It don't get much better than that. We upgraded with Garland and OEL but gave away FO%, PK, and a little grit. At least that should theoretically be easier to fix.

I've been doing some hunting looking at cheaper options who aren't young up and comers ... could be a tough find.

Beagle might be available :P

David Kampf is 20th in draws taken, 56%. $1.5m

Alex Wennberg 21st in draws taken, 47.3%. $4.5m

Teddy Blueger 30th in draws taken, 56.2%. $2.2m

Lars Eller 34th in draws taken, 51.7%. $3.5m

Sean Kuraly 63rd in draws taken, 51.2%, $2.5m

Luke Glendenning, 84th in draws taken, 50.4%, $1.5m

Cody Eakin, 97th in draws taken, 57.6%, $2.5m

Anyone we bring in would bump Dickinson (Hogs,Podz,Pearson) to the fourth line. Not the worst thing in the world but it's definitely an intricate problem. One thing I guess that should be looked at I guess is how much this deficiency is actually hurting us. What I mean is how much can you directly blame the FO% for our crap PK? It's not like we're directly drawing the puck into out net. Our basic PK just plain sucks regardless maybe. How much are we willing to part with (assets/$$), and possibly disrupt the team again?

I still don't care for Dickinsons game. He reminds me of Louie Erickson floats and doesn't really engage

Or score

Or win FOs

one point in 10 games

Is he the  new STONE HANDS?

I'm not even trying to say JD is good, I think he can and should be playing better TBH. Just I don't think plucking out stats to make an argument is worthwhile.

Pettersson's faceoff % is 29.6 why'd they resign that bum?

He's on my 10 most wanted list for sure.

Can't STAND him, he comes off as a real punk to me.  Even more than Marchand, who seems more like a guy having fun with his dirty antics than a hateful ball of vile like Kadri seems to be.  That throat slash did it for me.

Kadri's a puke, for sure.

But nobody grosses me out more than that Licker Rat-Faced Marchand.

I don't know how that other player stood there and took it.

Especially when he started in on the nostril.

I have to say, dinosaur that I am, I would probably still be in jail.

Because he can score maybe?

Lammikko at 45% is pretty much league median on the PK (min 10 draws).   Dickinson is 77th on 81 players ranked though.

Kuraly is only 37% on the PK.  Glendenning 33%.  Former Canucks Beagle, Bonino, Dowd are top-12.  Horvat is at 55% (18th).

It's time to draft some centres to improve this. Bo is pretty much the main option. Miller is better as a winger. But you can't have two players take all your draws.

Good thing this looks like a defence and centre heavy draft.

Good points I agree

But we need a short term fix asap

Do we have options internally? Hmmm

Do we have the assets and cap to go find a PK center good on the draw?

Is one available?

Go Canucks go

Was hoping to see

Podz - Horvat - Garland.

Green won’t change his ways until forced to. Let’s see if this line comes together tonight.

And when he changes up the lines the Green haters hate.

I understand you are being rhetorical

but if we don't use stats to compare players what do we use?

Wins? still a stat

how do you measure players if not by stats?

some are more useful for certain players

my eye test on JD is he is a black hole on offense and an OK defensive player and not good on face offs

I'd probably need to use stats to back up that statement

Nah, it's cos he's a PK specialist. His FO% shoots up to 100 and he has a SHG. Green just doesn't know how to utilise players.

If EP puts on some muscle I'm sure that would help his FO because he has the skill to back it up.

The pre-game call for firing Green is almost reassuring of the continuity of CDC thought. If the Vancouver FO % is less than 50% then Green has to go! If the PK kill isn’t 90% then Green has to go. If Petey doesn’t score a PP goal but Garland does Green still has to go. If Meyers coughs the puck in the Vancouver d-zone then Green has to go. No matter how you sift this Green has to go. :(

Maybe a bullseye on his back will help.
