Not on coaching... this is on the players.

If you're coaching a team and you don't have a shot for 9 minutes despite being down a goal you definitely share some responsibility.

Yes, it's on the players as well, but coaches have a shelf life and this team looks dead in the water. Helluva lot easier to move out a coach than shuffle players in and out.

I have no idea why the Sportsnet 650 guys keep saying he’s a great coach, he’ll definitely catch on somewhere else after he leaves Vancouver, he’s destined for success etc. Those guys are constantly saying it

No longer matters.  He has to be fired.

His future will play out how it does.  But this guy is bad for the Current Canucks and needs to be fired now. Not tomorrow. Now.

Horvat: “It’s not good enough.” How many times have we heard that and are going to continue to hear that?

as long as he's captain

as long as he's put in front of a mic

Imagine trading Miller and Boeser for a couple stud right shot D-men and landing Wright first overall?

Would be a quick rebuild and would even free up some cap.

Pettersson, Wright and Horvat down the middle. Podkolzin, Garland, and Hoglander on the wings with 11 mil to fill in the rest.

Then a revamped D core built around Hughes, OEL, Myers, Poolman and a couple big young stud D men.

Of course that would take a GM who actually had a plan and a direction.

After all this , 5 points out of the playoffs , make it 6 for games played .

3 wins , that’s it.

Problem is a lot of games go to OT, so even teams that lose are getting points. It's hard to make up ground. Especially this team can't even get a winning streak going.

Been saying this all along.  Boeser has a quick release which can work well on the pp, but aside from that he isnt a skill player.  Youll never see him handle and skate the puck the way you see Podz,  hogz, or even garland do, and if he tries, he loses is.  His skating is below average and gets worse each year.  Hes a soft, one dimensional player and you cant have these types tying up your cap if you want to contend.

His bread and butter is his shot. So what does our Coach do? Put him beside our most struggling guy who needs to shoot more as well. He loses the puck along the boards and his passing is atrocious. What does the Coach do? Puts him on the PP where he struggles to keep control of the puck. He gets pressured and loses it. Gee I wonder why our PP is not doing so well.

He no longer is trying to shoot, the last PP he passed it backed to the point and never once looked at the net. Not good when you are a Shooter.

He should be put with guys who are going to carry the puck and just get ready for a pass so he can shoot.

This Coach is setting him up for failure, it truly is sad to see.

So you're fine with continuing to employ a coach who cant' be trusted to set the lineup, insists on using ineffective strategies, cuts actual NHLers in favour of his pet plugs, throws his players under the bus when he couldn't get them ready, and brought in grossly incompetent assistant coaches who have destroyed the special teams?

What has Green done to suggest he has any hope of ever developing into an actual NHL coach?

I said this is on the players... not Green. So, you're off-base with the questioning.

I never said I was fine with anything.
