One thing I like about Bruce is he distributed ice time evenly amongst all players which kept the fresh. Look at the D, all had 17 or 18 minutes of ice time except for Hughes at 26 minutes. Podkolzin got almost 16 minutes of ice team. This is definitely a team playing like a team and Bruce rolling all 4 lines. Benning assembled a decent team, too bad he never got a decent coach for it. Its like building a Ferrari F1 car that could win races but hire a driver that doesnt know how to drive. Pretty sad for Benning.

Benning must've been yelling at his screen saying tonight's Canucks is exactly what he was trying to build

Nah, I think he's just hard on himself.  I'm sure that penalty shot was something that would have given him a huge boost but he'll be ok.  Time and patience.

Hilarious how the anti-Benning guys are cheering the win tonight citing how "different" the team looked tonight, without considering the fact that 

 

1) Benning built this team

2) It's only one game

3) If the Canucks do in fact end up looking much better due to the coaching change, it's still a team that Benning built..........and Benning's only apparent fault was that he was too loyal to Green.

Ever notice the firsts that seem to happen with Canucks? Shutout on Bruce’s first night. Goal by Lammikko, first as a Canuck. 
Go back over the years and it seems players always seem to score on their first night as a Canuck. 
Damn good game. 
Funny how when I saw Chaisson on the bench and I thought when the heck did Janik Hansen come back. 
Let’s hope this  wasn’t a one time showing.

I remember watching this at the time & being blown away (when 'behind the scenes' type shows were in their infancy)

 

Now I can't stop laughing, he's just blunt in a very honest & endearing way. Its so awesome.

That's a pretty big flaw.  Allowing Green to continue to destroy the team was grounds for dismissal by himself.  How can anyone trust the judgment of someone who thinks the BS Green puilled was acceptable?

Doesn't sound like it.  Sounds like Fletcher had his mind set on giving the gig to Yeo for now.  They haven't reached out to anyone and it looks like they aren't going to start looking for anyone just yet.  Fletcher was a big fan of Yeo in Minnesota and really delayed as long as he could to fire him.
