wildcam
I just watched Gadjovich win fight with big 6'2, 230 lb, Deslauries...Can't believe Benning and group let him go.. Gadjovich won the fight, was very impressed. 2 1
Popular Post Alflives
Gads can’t skate. Never should draft guys who skate like Gads. Very VERY slow feet. It’s like he’s skating in mud. Lucia is a million times the better skater. Gads doesn’t even have straight line NHL skating. 1 3
Popular Post DeNiro
Good fight. Gadjovich definitely got the better of him. Thread worthy though? Gadj has had a pretty mediocre season at best. We need toughness for sure but we need toughness that can also play a role in the team. 1 4 1

Deslauriers plays that role and actually chips in offensively once and awhile. We need someone that can contribute when they’re not dropping the mitts. Either offensively or on the pk. That’s the type of players we need to target.

He averages 8:38 per game, dead last of any Shark with 10+ games and has 2 points in 27 games. Not lying, I would love his physical presence, but the role he fills is largely a relic of the past and very few players have such a singular physical role in today's NHL. 3
Dazzle
You really have to put the blame on Green for icing such weak rosters over the years. Benning hired him, and wasted way too much time with him. 1

You can't have all Ferraris and Porches in the fleet...you need a heavy duty truck (preferably with duelies - maybe the new electric Hummer), a nice reliant automobile (something like a Honda Accord) or a Toyota Camry), a minivan (Honda Odyssey or Toyota Sienna are my choices), a full size SUV like a Toyota Forerunner, a mini SUV like an Acura RDX or a BMW X3, a compact/fuel efficient car like the Honda Civic, and a PEV like a Tesla. It's like Jon Cooper described his third and fourth liners...you need a good truck to get you through the mud. That's what Gadjovich could have been for the Canucks, but no...Benning thought the washed up Chiasson was a better option. 4
Captain Canuck #12
You can see why the Sharks put Lane Pederson on waivers after they picked up Dzingel, instead of Gadjovich. I kinda wish it had been the other way around, just so we could have claimed Gadjovich back. But ss others have said, as much as I admire Gad's fighting, I don't know if he can skate anywhere near well enough to play on an energy line for Boudreau (let alone to displace one of our current 4th liners). 1

Hes not displacing Motte or Lammikko. So its either Gadj or Highmore
Trebreh
we lost Gadjovich and Big Mac for Petan and Dowling because...Green Gadjovich one stings more because he had a pretty good camp, but didn't fit the AHL journeyman PKer role Green was looking for. 1

Gadjovich went after Deslauriers after an Anaheim player cheap shotted a Sharks player. Exactly what we are missing in our lineup. There's nothing wrong with Gadjovich as your 13th forward and putting him in the lineup against teams like Anaheim or Calgary. It's not like Highmore is a goal machine and needs a guaranteed spot every game, especially against physical teams. Anaheim embarrassed us just a couple of games ago and Boudreau even said in the post game press conference that he would have liked to start some fights but he didn't have any players that could do that. Gadjovich isn't the answer to our problems but at least he would have added some truculence and backed up our players after some cheap shots. 3 1 7
Angry Goose
I was impressed with Gadj’s nose for the net. Guy just had a natural ability to rack up points. If things dont work out with the Sharks Id love to see him re unite in VAN 1 1
