Need to avoid the first period struggles as the boys will be gassed by the third.  Come out strong and play the body hard.

Ott also played last night, and had to travel to Van(albeit, super short travel), so luckily we are both pretty much in the same position when it comes to fatigue.

yup.  Fights too.  Make the Sens realize they are going to need to bleed to stay in the game.  No reason for them to compete at that level.

So, my understanding is that the Canucks are now masters of their own destiny on making the Playoffs.

If we win our game in hand over Vegas and Loa Angeles, we will be one point up on Vegas and 2 points behind Los Angeles at even games. we play Los Angeles one more time, and if we win that clean in regulation, the Canucks hold the advantage on the tie breaker which would put us in control of being in the playoffs.

Let's see if we can pull off a Xmas in April comeback miracle!

And, Sens weren't playing with a lead.  I didn't see their game, but gotta assume they were pressing to come back.  Fingers crossed they are the more tired team.

Of course, better yet, forget the Sens, just have our boys come out from the first faceoff, and not sleep through the 1st period like has happened way too many times this year.  Gustavsson hasn't won a game since mid November.  Just gotta keep it that way :towel:

The main thing is, dont be too fancy and overpass in this game.

If we lose, that'll be how we lost.  We outshot them, but couldnt score blah blah blah...

Be direct, force the issue and get shots on net and crash the crease.

It's not just that it affects Demko's performance in the 2nd game. It also tires him out before our 2 hardest games of the closing stretch (Minnesota & Calgary). We're going to need to win at least one of those.

Seemed like a no-brainer to go with Halak here, especially with how well he's played recently.

Not sure about the no-brainer thing. It's do or die time.
