Im gonna touch a third rail here, but why does Bo Horvat have such good personal stats while the team is the most dysfunctional maybe ever ? He gets goals but he doesn't carry games on his back like Kesler did. He barely carries a period of hockey on his back. He's just there. Gets his goals and thats it.

Alot of his goals come on the PP, he's become a PP specialist

Regarding Demko, I don't understand how can there be such a big difference in talent and skill for a player over a summer?

It's like he completely forgot how to do the things he did last season.

I don't play competitive sports, so genuinely asking.

It’s like Petey first half of last year. He was a shell of himself. For Petey, it was all about confidence, he said so in an interview before the season. Confidence is an incredibly fickle thing though. How do you get it back when you’re playing so badly game after game?

I'm glad tonight happened.

No more wishful hope that this team turns it around.

It's time to blow it up.

I'd keep Petey and Hughes and even then if a crazy good offer came along, I'd trade them.

This team needs a complete new culture. Unfortunately we may have already tainted petey and Hughes with our stink. Remember how focused and relentless Petey was in his rookie season? Our culture creates apathy in our players. Petey is still a great player but I don't see that fire and intensity when he plays.

I will remember this moment and like a decade of straight wins against the leafs knowing what's coming.

Remember this moment.  It was glorious

I will remember a 170 pound Ryan Miller dropping his mitts and going after Martin who was 50lbs on him to defend a rookie Stecher.

Back in May, he had an undisclosed lower body injury and had surgery in the off season.  I'm guessing groin.  When he goes into the butterfly, his pads aren't flush with the ice.

Demko flipped out after Gallagher had his stick in the groin area.

I'd honestly rather he let himself heal 100% rather than try to be a hero and play through this.  At 90% (or less) he's being outplayed by Spenser Martin.  I really think that Martin could carry the freight and have Silovs or even Delia back him up.  If Demko has it in him to win a Vezina, he needs to be 100%

That’s just it we needDemko to be Demko, him and Ian Clarke need to get intimate he’s havin a rough go so far this year

This season, we've been spanked by Buffalo, NJ and now Mtl.

If this isn't a clear indication to rebuild, I have no idea what is.

All these teams started rebuilding after us and now are kicking out butts while we've been subjected to crappy hockey with nothing changed...

One of my favourite memories!  My friend and I got together to watch this one.  He was new to the sport but had been made fully aware of the history of the situation.  We lost our minds!

If they're going to make a significant pivot, I think one of Petey or Hughes needs to go.  Not because they're not playing well, but because they need a lopsided trade.

Moving older, insignificant pieces would be lateral moves, at best.

Well, that was pathetic! It's not the structure of the play, but rather the structure of the team. This is not a team that is technically capable of each player supporting the other. Some really good players, but they don't seem to be able to work together. Can BB fix it? I don't think so. I think it's a management fix, and that's going to take time, gawdammit. So tired of every year being the same f&*#ing thing.
