No. This move has ownership all over it. What is the definition of insanity ? Oh ya keep doing the same thing and expecting different results. Why in the world did they trade their picks in a year where there are so many goood players available? Blinders on. This feeling of desperately needing to make the playoffs. Short fixes. No patience. Our system was set up to get more prospects and yet again we are leaving the cupboard bare. One step forward, two steps back. It's stupidity and it just turns me off from wanting to watch an inept organization. Not one person steps up and says it's a dumb idea. I just can't. The ownership is just plain stupid.

This deadline has admittedly helped with my disposition towards JR and PA.

However, Boudreau's mishandling and the reasons why we needed to trade Horvat in the first place does negate at least a bit of that.

Now I'm back into more in "wait and see" territory after the Hronek trade. Perhaps I just shouldn't think about things until the trade deadline's over given we have a GM who can't stay off the phone making deals. lol

Just got us a legit 1 RD that just turned 25 years old. Granted the trade now turns out to be Horvat and a 2nd for Beau, Raty, and Hronek (has some term and is an RFA)

That's not bad.

Hronek was a 1D the same reason Myers and OEL were top 4 D when they were acquired, there was no one else to play that ice time. I hope you are right, but I think Stevie Y takes the W here.

Again, i voted wait and see, but this is more a directive from Ownership. They have to go. It's just that Allvin is doing the vision a bit more competently than Jimbo was.

Lol hronek is a 2nd pairing at best.. that doesn’t really do anything to help the defensive side of things. Hronek Hughes pairing is a disaster waiting to happen. Once again we have no extra draft pick missing a 2nd on a team that should be selling/gaining picks lol. St. Louis Nashville Washington teams that are well ahead of us in the standing have way more picks than us

It’s insanity, the unnecessary 3 years for Boeser, massive long term deal for almost 30 Miller, paying a 2nd to dump dickensons contract so we have more money to compete this year? Now we’re trading even more picks, it’s truly crazy,

After Bruce no, but the trades and moves up until yesterday….. kinda, now though no freaking way, 26th overall teams do not trade 1st round picks for players at the deadline, just stupid. This team has no real direction, Aqua has them doing the 6th retool in 9 years, we’d be contenders by now if he’d just listen to linden and properly rebuild. ITS TIME FOR THAT CLOWN TO SELL THE TEAM!

Bunch of boneheads for sure.
Another small offensive dman.
Trading away a mid first in a great draft, as well as what should be a high 2nd.

These guys have no clue whatsoever.
I have zero positive thoughts toward these guys, other than JR is a dinosaur and should hopefully retire soon.

After so long of the wishy washy bullshit from Benning, I really wished things would change.
Unfortunately, they seem the same if not worse.

I thought you would be happy with this trade.  It improves our D after you keep complaining about not getting a D-man.

Well, if you want a rebuild you want to trade away Petey, Hughes and Demko then because they are waysted on a rebuild.

Pretty disappointed today.

I was prepared for this team to suck this year and the next. Do a little mini rebuild on the fly, but nope. They couldn't even wait until the summer.

I knew that we would go and trade for a young d-man, but I thought that we would at least make both of the picks in the 1st round this year.

Overall, we have gotten younger and I do appreciate that. Really fed up with our aversion to building through draft.

I’d be 100% fine with a full scorched earth rebuild, but it should have been done when linden wanted to do it, right now we’d be talking about playoffs and cup aspirations if they’d done it then. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, which is exactly what’s happening right now. We are at the bottom for a reason, we’ve traded 3 first rounders in the last 4 years and the only decent player we got was miller
