Small, oft-injured, redundant skill set, declining ability.

 

He's an older, broken, version of Hronek, whom we already have. He doesn't fit a player type need, and is likely to cost too much $ and term even if all those things weren't true.

I can’t imagine they were interested in O’Reilly without thinking they needed more of an upgrade there.

 

There’s still cheaper options available, but my guess is they try to do a winger for center trade.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts as well. And he would definitely want term and dollars. He's not worth it. He's not a difference maker. Don't want to go through that again, unless it's someone who's actually earning their contract, like Hughes, Petey, Miller, etc, for example.
