Popular Post CHIPS
To Canucks Jamie Drysdale To Ducks Tyler Myers (Canucks retain some salary) 3rd round 2024 Why Ducks do this: Jaime Drysdale was injured and only played 8 games last year (tore labrum). He is RFA and still hasn't signed, so the Ducks are hesitant to offer him anything. 2 years ago, he got 32 points, but also a minus 26. His future is uncertain, maybe better to get a draft pick. Myers only has 1 year left, so he will be gone anyways. Why Canucks do this: Get rid of Myers, who has no future with this team. Jamie Drysdale is a wild card now because of his injuries. But he was the 6th overall pick RHD from 2020 and still young. Once we get rid of Myers, we have some cap space to sign him to a reasonable deal. https://www.capfriendly.com/players/jamie-drysdale Edited September 2, 2023 by CHIPS 1 5 4

-AJ-
No way they consider. Even if we retain 50% plus the 3rd round pick, I think it's way too early to give up on a 21 year-old defenseman. 1

McBackup
Would you do Podkolzin for another team's cap dump and a mid round pick? That's the closest comparable to this trade from our end. 1

Drysdale is another cautionary tale of what happens when you throw an 18 year old onto the ice and expect him to live up to his potential on day one. Buffalo did it to Ristolainen. Anaheim is doing it to Drysdale. The poor guy was getting torched on the second pairing and Anaheim decided to... increase his playing time and put him against top lines. *shudders*

Elias Pettersson
Why would we want to trade for another 5'11" offensive Dman who doesn't kill penalties? 1

Ghostsof1915
Rather trade for Tyson Hinds.
Alflives
Drysdale is a puck sucker bustaroo bonsai. Myers will have more pull at the TDL.

Devron
So basically what you’re saying is that Drysdale is a bust yet we want to trade for him. Ok

There is no reason why they would want to take Myers knowing the Ducks are still rebuilding. Like if anyone in the NHL actually wanted Myers at this point they would have called by now.
