I can't find the exact interview but Benning said this mid December and here is Green saying pretty much the same thing December 12. https://www.vancourier.com/pass-it-to-bulis/canucks-are-playing-injuries-extremely-close-to-the-vest-this-season-1.24033835 Travis Green was a little more forthcoming about Ferland’s status at Thursday’s game day skate, saying that Ferland was seeing specialists as he’s experiencing “symptoms,” but is not in the concussion protocol. It’s safe to say that Ferland’s “symptoms” are related to his concussion, even if the Canucks won’t specify “post-concussion syndrome.” Edited January 22, 2020 by peaches5

Nowhere had I seen them say it had nothing to do with his concussion.

We’re hoping to do whatever we need to do from an organizational standpoint to help him get better because I think we’re a better team with him in our lineup. I don’t know how long he’ll be out for, but I think we’ll get him back.” Not the interview but again it was said from the beginning to not be a concussion but concussion like symptoms. Benning just said his injury has nothing to do with his concussion. You’re posting old interviews relating to his concussion. This was the first time Benning has stated his current injury has nothing to do with his concussion. Meaning it’s not post concussion symptoms that’s keeping him out right now. I just quoted what he said December 10th which clearly states, if you can read, that this injury is unrelated to his concussion. Then it goes on to say the new injury is not another concussion, and the article doesn't quote it but he also says he is dealing with concussion like symptoms. I Just can't find this transcript. It's meaningless though as the prior two quotes along with the Green quote confirm exactly what I am saying. You just refuse to admit that. Boeser#1fan
So was there ever any word on what Graovac's injury was. They only ever said lower body but nothing else.
spur1
I suspect that the issues Ferland was having were at first suspected to be post concussion but later turned out to be otherwise.

brian42
I’d love for Boeser to take Eriksson spot on the second line and Then take Eriksson out of the lineup for Ferlund when he’s back (hopefully soon?) Eriksson has been better but this is still the lineup I prefer
-Vintage Canuck-
Travis Green mentioned post-game that Tyler Motte's injury doesn't look good.

We have a few young players that can fit in that role. Hope he recovers soon but no need to panic (glad though Beagle is still good to go, that guy really sacrifices his body like no other)

Wonder how fer daddy’s status is.... good opportunity to come back on shallow ice time, I’ve liked schaller this year as well I’m confident that motte can be easily replaced, the way he was holding his arm it looked like collar bone maybe....?

None of our guys consistently play with the speed and intensity that Motte brings. It’s not a coincidence that our team started rolling with him back. He sets the tone with his tenacious forechecking and gives our fourth line an identity. He will definitely be missed. I’m thinking we see a Bailey call up now. It’s seems like this would be a good time to see what we’ve got with him. 4

He may go on a conditioning stint in Utica to tho, might be a good idea to get him up to speed there first. It would be fun to see Bailey called up and inject some new buzz into the 4th line, or I suppose Schaller might be sufficiently motivated to play again. Maybe MacEwan. We finally have a lot of good options.

That sucks. Motte is the straw that stirs the drink a lot of nights. Kids a gamer. 3
Provost
Well with both MacEwan and Bailey called you, I wonder if someone aside from Motte is out, or they just need to make sure they have enough bodies for the road trip. I think they were running with only 22 players on the roster.
