  1. FINALLY!!! The 50 trade proposals a day will end!!!!!

    1. TimberWolf

      TimberWolf

Trade proposals are like Bieber to me. I find them easy to avoid so they don;t bother me at all.

    2. Nuxfanabroad

      Nuxfanabroad

HEY Mister..I called a Van/Ott deal about a WEEK before!

(of course, also predicted about 20 other teams, but let's forget that lil'detail:^)

    3. goalie13

      goalie13

Why would they end?  Now we will just see off-season and draft day trade proposals instead.  Chronic proposal creators will not let a little thing like a trade deadline slow them down.

  2. Even when Burrows leaves us, what he gives us is above and beyond what we all expected. Thank you Burr!!!

The return has more to do with Benning yet I totally get what you mean :P

Haha Oh it totally does but it's funny how things always seem to work out with Burrows. The guy never stopped surprising us and even when he leaves

In fact, we kicked their butts so badly they moved their own Nation's Capitol to DC because they knew we wouldn't be able to carry enough beer for the after party on the way back, if it were to happen again.

Oh, and the UN would be seriously pissed. Also, being in the Commonwealth has some serious perks if we were ever invaded, by anyone.

  7. NHL not selling Horvat jerseys at the All Star game. Bo's parents tried to buy one and then get one custom made and were told they ran out of "R's" so it would have been Hovat.... BUSH LEAGUE

I'm a dog guy. I have two. I would take a few days off of one died for sure. But a week or two?

    3. Chris

      Chris

Let's be honest, he'd probably rather have the time off to be with his family than piss away his time on a game that in factuality serves the Blue Jackets in no way shape or form. Its an easy way out, I'd take it too and I don't hold it against him.

    4. Angry Goose

      Angry Goose

Or we can take it for what it is- one of his family members is in poor health and he wants to be there for them.  If he needs a week or two so what?  It's not like it's something trivial.

  9. Larsen is healthy and down goes the Subban dream.... I feel bad saying that tho cause I'm glad Larsen is feeling better

Showing how bad Larsen is isn't going to make anyone give up assets for him.

Just waive him and make sure he isn't in our damn lineup.  Addition by subtraction.

    3. Bur14Kes17

      Bur14Kes17

Agreed. The guy moves and plays like a feather.

    4. Green Goblin

      Green Goblin

It's not even his size that's the issue. He's 6'1" 185lbs. Not that small, but he plays small. His decision making ability isn't strong. He's not very fast either. He has skill, but not enough to warrant bottom pairing ice or PP time for that matter. He might be better off in the Eastern Conference.

  10. Anyone else notice that Harrison Mooney character from The Province thinks the whole world is hateful towards black people?

    1. stonecoldstevebernier

      stonecoldstevebernier

I really can't stand Harrison Mooney (his writing style is obnoxious) but I respect his opinion there. Not gonna get into an argument about it on CDC though.

    2. Bur14Kes17

      Bur14Kes17

I actually don't mind his writing, and I don't mind the occasional social rights tweet, but it's like every single frickin day and like man.... you think he'd get tired of it himself eventually

    3. Cramarossa

      Cramarossa

I haven't seen his tweets (don't follow him, agree with stonecold's opinion above about his writing) but as a black person who has been discriminated against and consistently see it around her happening to others, yeah I can imagine he IS tired of it. Tired of seeing it/experiencing it, which I imagine prompts him to post about it. Not talking about it won't solve the problem.

I love that Buffalo is a football and hockey obsessed city.  If that happened here, the media and the fanbase would have been all over it and would have been doing the clap even before the game started.

As far as I can tell, in Vancouver the "real" hockey fans are pretty much priced out of going to more than a few games a year.

I can't figure out why the local media wouldn't pick it up? The Stanchion, Botchford, Kuzma, all those guys were aware of it and didn't post anything. Botchford mentioned t in the Provies today wondering what happened to if? I think what MJDdawg said is right though. Hopefully it's done in the pre game ceremony next time for Hanks 1000th point

Is this actually how to vote for a mod? I thought they had to apply for it and then the board of moderators decide if they deserve a seat with the authorities.

    4. Salmonberries

      Salmonberries

What would be the point of actually applying to be a mod though. I was asked to be one of the mods at a new site when it was launched several years ago, and although I still am, I regretted the idea almost immediately. It can be a giant pain in the butt a lot of the time. I guess it depends upon the person, it sure didn't come naturally to me.

I think what Dubois contributes is highly valuable and his draft position is a reflection of his skill set.

Pink Sheets can be alright in some circumstances, but certainly carry more risk than your average stock would. Aurora is one of the ones I've been peeking at, but you can't take everything they present as gospel since they aren't regulated like a typical stock.

My biggest fear of Pink Sheets would be wanting to sell quick and being stuck.

^Any micro cap stock is strictly a day trade and only if the float and volume is there. Otherwise you are just playing with fire and mostly likely will be burned. This guy buys into news of P&D's so I'm not going to bother arguing with him.

    4. Bur14Kes17

      Bur14Kes17

See the funny thing is every company starts out as a micro cap at some point. Did you know back in the early 90's Budweiser shares were worth $7? Molson worth $4? Today they're both over $100, but investing in beer would have been a terrible idea back in the 90's right? Each one of the companies I mentioned trade at an volume of a million shares per day

WD needs to destroy some youngster's confidence now that Virtanan's been rescued.

If Benning won't hire a real coach, he at least needs to put some pressure on Willie to cut this garbage out.

  23. Jake Virtanen with another goal tonight! That's 6 pts and 4 goals on 7 games. The AHL was the best thing for him

  24. Major props to Jake Virtanen. After 0 points in his first 5 games in the AHL, he now has 5 pts and 3 goals in the past 7 games. More then anything I'm glad to see Jake scoring and Utica is the right place to be
