Had the sack before that too. A warrior for sure. He didn't crumble after that penalty...he can back with a vengeance.
DeNiro
I was about to write the obligatory Toronto choke job post but then mayhem ensued. Toronto deserved that.

c00kies
Bombers did not play well and Legghio choked under pressure again. Argos played better and deserved the win.

But Boris Bede of the Argos was no Lui Passaglia either.

I don't think you'll see him back next year, as even the kickoffs/punts were terrible (even with the wind) which gave Toronto a lot of short fields.

johngould21
My son is in New Orleans at a conference. They had the Grey Cup game on at one of their meetings. The room was full of Canadians watching the game I wonder what the staff in the room wondered what they were watching? That might have been a top 5 Grey Cup game in the 109 year history of the Classic. Blocked punts, blocked fg's, runbacks for td's, sacks, raw emotion at the end of the game, forget the praising Jesus, that was all out fun to watch.

Or are they just about arm strength and athletic ability? I guess if he plays down there as even a third string guy (he is still very young) he will make way more money than he does up here. Sad though, that the CFL will lose a great young talent. Too bad there wasn't a way to somehow match the dollars he gets down there, but we just can't come even close.
Barnstorm
I hope they will look him over and send him home for a couple of years to further develop on the Lions roster. Give us a chance to see him play a full season and into the big game .

I don't think that the Lions could match if he makes a roster. The minimum salary for a rookie this season is $705,000. Next year it is $750,000. His salary would go up from there. Not a 100% sure what his compensation would be if he is only put on a practice squad, but he would likely make more than what he would make in the CFL. Plus there is the chance he could make the active a roster, thus making the minimum salary. Plus, he would achieve the goal of making an NFL roster. A pretty big accomplishment. https://www-nbcsports-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.nbcsports.com/philadelphia/eagles/2022-nfl-salaries-how-average-players-pay-compares-stars?amp=&_gsa=1&_js_v=a9&usqp=mq331AQKKAFQArABIIACAw%3D%3D#amp_tf=From %1%24s&aoh=16700373032618&csi=1&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nbcsports.com%2Fphiladelphia%2Feagles%2F2022-nfl-salaries-how-average-players-pay-compares-stars 1

He could carry a clipboard and make 10 x more than he could make up here. Losing the QBs has greatly hurt the CFL. We used to get almost all the smaller guys. Now we don’t get those. And when we do ge5 a guy who’s pretty good, we lose him to an NFL practice roster.
