This is a HOCKEY forum, more knowledge is always relevant, and its good to know where people get their opinions & information from. If I was trying to "pump my tires" as you so moronically suggested, I'd likely go on about something besides my education, perhaps something like; I once one received a signed letter from Markus Naslund & game tickets 5 rows back from the ice. (Also true, btw, ) You'd be surprised how much goes on in front of a computer screen nowadays. I suggest looking up a little program called Rinknet - the scouting software used by 29/30 NHL teams, and a good portion of the hockey world. Overall, 2/10, good effort, poor execution. We keep him use Gaunce Lain Richardson Horvat Schroeder Kesler Santorelli or any number of guys in our system and keep edler, or trade him for that ever elusive 1st/2nd line sniper. We have 3rd line Cs in spades now. What we need is a 2nd line playmaking center worth the name, a puck moving defenseman and or a 1st line sniper who can put pucks in the net no matter who he plays with. johngould21 Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 We had two. One was the perfect third line center that won faceoffs and put up 30 points. Then he had what could be a career ending injury. The other one brought alot of offense, but was unhappy with his ice time and wanted out. We have 3 third line centers coming down the pipe, the only question is how ready are they? Trading Edler to fill that hole would be a huge mistake. If people think the Sedins weren't as good without Ehrhoff, wait until you see them without Edler. Canuck Surfer Posted July 22, 2013 Share Posted July 22, 2013 I'd do the Edler for Tinordi and Eller in a heartbeat. Eller is borderline line top6 guy who solidfies the 3rd line for a few years and Tinordi at worst is a shutdown top4 with a monster mean streak and physical ability. At best hes a top pairing shutdown guy who can contribute 30-35pts a year. If its Det I want Helm in ANY package we get from them, Brendan Smith is the other guy I would target tho I think we need a 3rd asset in that package. Maybe Orlov or preferably big RWer Tom Wilson? Their PP could do some serious damage with Edler and Green behind Backstrom, Ovi and ? But so could ours; Sedin/Sedin/Kesler Garrison/Carlson Carlson is a right shot D, 212 lbs, that moves the puck better than any of our current D.
