DeltaSwede
Love the Osh, hate the Brouw Is it wrong to say that a small part of me wants to see Ovi win a cup? Either way, it makes sense for both parts. Good hockey move IMO.
canucklehead44
Bad trade by St. Louis. At least they don't have Benning making that trade, otherwise it would have been Oshie + 3rd for Brouwer and not the other way around.
AV's Coin
Washington is stacked now... Ovechkin Backstrom Oshie Johansson Kuznetsov Williams Burakovsky May be missing more too Dont forget Vrbata at the deadline!
amplified0ne
So this is the shakeup for St. Louis' core? Should have just let go of Hitch and invested properly in a goalie.
hockeyfan90
Wait what? That's all it took to get a player like Oshie? Damn Canucks should have been in on it
Gaudette Celly
I wanted TJ Oshie, another trade that is frustrating. I Mean could we not have offered something like this and have gotten oshie? Believe it or not, we cannot actually make every trade that's out there.
sh1ftg34r
You guys know Oshie has never scored more than 20 goals in a season right?
JeremyCuddles
So this is the shakeup for St. Louis' core? Should have just let go of Hitch and invested properly in a goalie. Benning should have trade Lack Kassian and our 2nd for Oshie.
DownUndaCanuck
We could have offered a similar package. Higgins, Jensen and Anaheims 2nd woulda done the job.
CBH1926
Blues have not done well with that trade, might have taken a page out of Bruins book.
mpt
That's like us trading Kassian for Prust and a prospect. Wait we had to throw in a 5th
UFCanuck
We could have offered a similar package. Higgins, Jensen and Anaheims 2nd woulda done the job. Except Brouwer's value is way higher than Hig and Jensen combined.

Master Mind
Oshie wasn't the problem in St. Louis, Backes is IMO. Great trade for the caps. Blues didn't get destroyed like some seem to think, but I don't think they got full value for Oshie.
70seven
Washington making some real nice additions to that group. I like their chances next season.
The Honey Badger
With OV, Backstrom, Williams, Oshie and Johansson up front, Alzner, Carlsson, Orpik and Niskanen in the back and trotz behind the bench, the caps now are built specifically to prepare for playoff. looks like it will be between caps and rangers for east supremacy next season.. something tells me they are not done.. i won't be surprised if they will go out and grab either erhoff or franson as well
R3aL
I think the caps will miss Green but they defn have an awesome crop of forwards.. Oshie will look amazing beside Ovie and Backstrom got that sand paper to his game with the skill... Pits and Caps like a competition between the two who has more fire power up front lol I think Oshie could have gotten a better return.. And I like Brouwer

Lonny_Bohonos_14
Capitals going all in? Hamhuis to Washington? He has a history with Trots and would fit in well of a defense of Alzner, Calson, Niskanen and Orpik.
