Jägermeister
Seems a tad high honestly. Not horrible or anything, but I don't think he should be getting anything north of what Couturier just got.
Caboose
Sutter Horvat McCann Cassels I see a trend here. No number 1 to replace Henrik?
CRAZY_4_NAZZY
Vancouver is no longer a desirable destination for players. Long gone are the hometown discounts and taking less to be competitive here. We are going to start paying the premium/market value for players until we do become a desirable destination for players again.
aGENT
No number 1 to replace Henrik? Nope. We'll be rolling with four 2-3C's short of someone falling in our lap.

Why would Sutter take a hometown discount when he's not from here and doesn't have any ties here? Think about that one for a second.
Nucks-4-Life
I think McCann has what it takes to be a #1 C in this league.

The organization treats them royally. You're just speaking out of your arse.

Guess the sleep doctor thing dozed off into the sunset as a reason to sign here? Vancouver is not California or Florida, but the weather beats Minny and Chicago, Boston or Detroit any day. Lets forget Winnipeg or Edmonton in that conversation. And its a beautiful city. Aquaman still has his players up on their plane to my understanding and we have good facilities. Vancouver may not be top of the table; but its still an attractive location!

You're just speaking out of your arse. We're desirable in that it's a nice city to live, they're treated like royalty, the team is first class... But as of right now we're also not a contender, it's a media/fan fishbowl with that non contending and hence surrounded with 'controversy' (real or imagined) team. Point is, you're not going to get the same discounts when you're a nice city AND a contender.

Places where the possibility of winning the Cup is high. And outside of that it really comes down to the livability of the city. Vancouver is pretty livable year round. Pretentious and overpriced but livable.

Are you kidding me? He was born in Huntington, New York. It's just down the road, we are basically neighbors!
AFrame14
Comparable to what nashville signed Wilson and smith to. Not bad. Expected a lot more after seeing what Dorsett and Sbisa got from benning
RRypien37
Anything over 3.75 for a 3rd liner center not capable of more then 40 points is an over payment. This is truly scary of the rumored numbers are true...
theminister
No number 1 to replace Henrik? He didn't look like he needed replacing last year. I'll worry about that when its a thing. It's not a thing yet.

Phil_314
How much more offensive upside do ya'll think Bo has than Sutter? Sutter maxing out at 55 points best case scenario and Bo at 65-70 in his prime? Because if those are our pillars at centers going forward... we're gonna need more offence. Given how J.B. wants to stock up on futures through selling pending UFA's (Hammer, Vrbata, Prust) and maybe even some of the vets in the near future, I think we'll be okay offensively IF he keeps the vets long enough to successfully develop and transition the kids (Hunter, Jared, Jake, Sven, Brock, maybe even Jensen?) into the big leagues and stock up scoring on the wings and puck-moving D to get the scoring which we'll need from the relative dearth of it up the middle. Since we don't have a scoring stud yet, having scoring by committee isn't the worst idea.
