Anton Rodin | RW/LW

That's interesting re: the bipartite patella. Explains a lot. Thankfully, the prognosis appears to be very good in these cases, both with surgical and nonsurgical treatments.

Should Rödin need to go the surgical route, the results in athletes are excellent, with roughly 90% returning to their sport symptom free.

At least everybody got their pot shots in on WD for not getting him on the ice with that bum knee.

Totally sucks for Rodin though. Absolutely brutal.

Willie should have spotted the inflammation around Rodin's bifurcated kneecap and alerted Dr Regan before this.

No timetable for Rodin recovery but seems like a week to week thing. #Canucks

- Have a specialist look into his knee.

- If the best thing going forward is to shut him down for this year, and he will be good to go next Fall, so be it.

Sign him to another year, and see how it goes next year.

I'm finding the Canucks medical staff seem to really be bad at diagnosing problems, and putting forward plans for recovery from injury.

There's like this top secret veil of secrecy around injuries.

They treat our guys injuries like that poor dog in the Winnipeg movie, just throw them in willy nilly.

Makes me sad that they're not giving him a chance. RW sniper who did great in Sweden and pre season and is not being played While there are guys like Megna, Skille, and Gaunce who get playing time and even on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line. I don't think they will resign him and I hope another team like Dallas signs him and actually gives him a chance. EDIT: Oh NVM, I heard it's because of his knee... my mistake. I'm a &^@#ing idiot.

Edit it like a minute before your post saying "NVM, didn't know he got injured again." Again, sorry. Would just delete it but I don't know how to lol

Might want to find a different analogy, the bit about the dog video has been proven to be significantly edited to alter reality.  Gee, seems to be a thing these days...alternative facts!

In terms of Rodin, perhaps he wasn't completely honest with the medical staff about what his knee felt like?  In professional sports I'm sure many athletes compete every day at much less than 100%.  How much of that is on the player, the chance to make the NHL might be fleeting so the pressure to perform is significant.  Or, maybe I'm projecting my own bias.

Per Swedish source, #Canucks Anton Rodin could sign with CSKA Moskva for next season. 3 GP (1A) in both #NHL & #AHL this season. #KHL #RUMOR

Not surprised to see this.  Not a chance this guy is back.
