Wow Turris scratched VS his home team. Thanks Nashville! Always hate playing our hometown Boys, they are always more fired up.

Just keep an eye out for BIG GAME BONINO and we should be set.

Just play with heart and that’s all that matters.

Hopefully some physicality is shown. I realize Roussel, Ferland, and Morte aren’t available but that isn’t an excuse to play soft. Have we scored a goal 5-10 feet away from the net yet? A dirty rebound goal in the crease? This team just clings onto the perimeter and it’s hard to watch.

Team still has Horvat, Beagle, Virtanen, Myers, Benn, Miller, and Schaller. That’s more than enough physical contributions from the active roster.

We have gotten away from what made us successful earlier on. Hard nosed, hard working to "Sedinesque" perimeter play which is ineffective when playing tight checking teams. Bo has to lead his team right off the bat and come out flying and be willing to pay the price.  Remember Linden driving a player, literally, through the boards?

We have the pieces to play a lot more hard nosed then what we have been playing. GCG! :canucks:

Must be nice for NSH to be able to healthy scratch Turris, while VAN needs Loui in their lineup.

Difference is that Nashville fans are mostly upset that Turris is scratched for Olivier.  Undrafted 22 year old who played his 1st NHL game this week.  He has 19pts in 71 AHL games and 128 PIM minutes.

It was not on a flight, but I do remember a time watching the first and second period of Game 6, Round 1 against the Blackhawks in 2011 on the ferry. It was a pretty cool experience with other Canucks fans, hearing loud cheers every time we scored.

I remember watching Game 6 of the 2013 Cup Final on the Ferry, Bruins blowing it in 17 seconds. Everyone on the boat cheered against the Bruins and it was weird experience seeing everyone so happy after every Blackhawks goal.

Calling it now Jarnkrok and Bonino seem to ALWAYS score on us.   We'll be down 2-0 after the 1st but come back and force OT and then win 4-3.

Not before Shorty tells how they’re both ppg players vs Canucks haha

Honestly happy to see Baer as a healthy scratch. The guy has coasted the last couple games. He needs some urgency as a call-up.

Big Mac gets his shot.

Big ( and possibly last) opportunity for Baer these last few games and he  barely showed up.  Time to look elsewhere.

yeah thats interesting - was he playing top 6 in Utica? It also makes me curious if thats where Roussel is going to begin the year once he's ready.

Lines in morning skate:

Pearson-Pettersson-Boeser

Miller-Horvat-MacEwen
Leivo-Gaudette-Virtanen
Schaller-Beagle-Graovac

Baertschi, Eriksson, Roussel

Edler-Stecher
Hughes-Tanev
Benn-Myers

Fantenberg

Green loading up the lines with size. Well done.

Seeing eriksson and baertschi sitting is good as they’re both perimeter players who’ve been coasting. No need for that.

Has Pearson earned a spot with Pettersson and Boeser?  I guess that remains to be seen.

Interesting change in the defense pairings.

If MacEwen plays well, keep him in the lineup. Time to send down Baer and Eriksson.

Once Roussel comes back, put him in for Pearson or Leivo.

Roussel played well with Bo last season and Virtanen. Career high in only 65 games. Try him out with Bo again, may take him a few games to get going tho.
